How’s it going?
My name is Micaela and this is part 2 of our trip to Himeji.
After we visited the Castle and we dressed up 武士 warriors, we then took the ropeway at Mt. Shosha or as they say in Japanese, 書写山.
Try saying that 3 times (???).
So, we’re going on a little microbus to go up a hill to see a shrine and they gave me this sticker.
(0:31)
They say so.
This whole area has beautiful scenery and it’s actually famous as one of the locations for the movie, THE LAST SAMURAI.
We have been walking up this hill forever and it’s like the steepest (trail? ???) Oh my god!
(1:00)
After a short crime is 円行寺 temple, a Buddhist temple at the top of Mt. Shosha.
We were invited inside the temple to learn how to meditate.
I don’t really understand it, but I think the key is to sit still with your arms and legs folded like so.
(1:36)
And then they hit you with the stick.
In any case this temple is a great place for those who are looking to explore the more spiritual side of Japan.
(???) it was a great trip and a great experience.
If you are interested in tradition, 姫路、神戸、京都 they all display a less modern era of Japan and it’s pretty cool, so if you want to see more episode, check out the Nestle homepage!
Cool!
Thanks!
Cheers!
