Hey guys!
Long time no see!
My name is Micaela and this is my new bedroom.
I’m nowhere close to being like completely I’m (unpacked?), so I can’t give you a room tour just yet, but that is something I will definitely do as soon as I’m all set up.
So, I’ve been wanting to get back into the swing of thing with blogging and I decided to turn to twitter for some advice.
I twitted “Please let me know if there’re any romantic phrases in English that you’d like to learn.
(0:25)
But my responses were like “僕の味噌汁になってくれ” “すまんが、味噌汁作ってくれないか?” “味噌汁かお前だったらお前のほうが好きだぜ!” which I mean really in English is the equivalent of “(○itch)Make me a sandwich.”
So, I’m sorry unfortunately it’s going to be up to me to choose the romantic phrases today.
Here are my top 5 romantic phrases that you can use when you’re dating.
Okay, here we go!
No.1!
When you’ve met someone that you think is really interesting and things are going really well, I want to know more about you.
I want to know more about you.
(1:01)
あなたのことをもっと知りたい。
あなたのこともっと知りたい♡
I want to know more about you.
Try it!
Okay! No.2!
僕には君しかいないんだ。
僕には君しかいないんだ。
You’re the only one for me.
You’re the only one for me.
That’s mostly used for men towards women but if you know you can…
Maybe they’ll be attracted to your tomboyish assertiveness…I don’t know.
(1:29)
No.3!
This one’s one of my favorite phrases…Oh my god!
You are my sunshine.
どう?
You are my sunshine.
君は僕の太陽だ。
君は僕のたいようだぜ♪
You are my sunshine.
No.4!
Maybe somehow you got really really lucky and you ended up dating someone fairly attractive and you want to complement them.
あなたってすごく格好いいね。♪
あなたってすごく格好いいね。♪
(2:00)
You’re really cool or…
You’re really handsome.
You’re really cool or…
You’re really handsome.
If you are a guy and you’re with really pretty girl, you’d say…
君って、本当に可愛いね。
君って、本当に可愛いね。
In English we would translate this as something like…
You’re really pretty.
You’re really pretty.
And No.5 lastly No.5!
(2:25)
I know it’s weird, but I believe in faith and I do believe that when you meet people certain people in your life and you see them and you kind of just know that they’re people that are meant to be in your life.
I have many like I’ve met so many people like that that have brought me so much joy …so this phrase’s one of my favorites.
It’s really simple and easy to use.
会えてよかった。
会えてよかった。
I’m glad to have met you.
簡単で言うと・・・
I’m glad we met.
(2:56)
Okay.
I admit I’m not actually expecting you to go out and land a girlfriend with these 5 phrases but hopefully adding them to your (repertoire ..??) helps things go a little bit smoother.
Don’t laugh!
(3:05)
I do actually use “You’re my sunshine” all the time…
That’s it for now.
As you can see it’s gradually getting dark in this room and it’s almost time to feed my dog, so I got to go and if you have any other phrases that you’d like me to translate next time, please let me know because I think that I will try to (in videos??) like this more often.
Bye!
「味噌汁かお前だったらお前のほうが好きだぜ!」
