I have my hot coffee and my fleece and I’m bending down really low to get in the frame…

After we took Kit to an 温泉 and let him have a nice bath, we visited 箱根園水族館 or Hakone-en Aquarium.
Hakone-en Aquarium is special because they allow you to visit the aquarium with your pet.

Next we visited the seal show and they were so cute.
Their famous tricks is pretending that they’re in an 温泉 which is what Hakone is famous for.
しかも温泉が好きなんですね！
There’s so smart and there’s so cute.
Finally we stopped at the gift shop which crafts special boxes out of wood harvested from the hills of Hakone.
While they look like ordinary boxes on the outside you actually have to follow a certain number of steps (and? order? to? the boxes that?? Open??.)

And I swear this guy must’ve been some kind of magician because the way he designed his boxes was absolutely magical.

Then 坪田さん and I tried our hand at making one ourselves.
Here we are!
I have my very own original secret box.
It only opens if you open it a certain way.
I had so much fun in Hakone and I know that Kit did it, too.
And sometimes it’s nice to go to places that are pet-friendly as well.
