We increased the global cooldown on arrow cart skills from 1 second to 3 seconds
last week on our dev server when we did another balance pass on the siege weapons.
Those changes didn’t make it onto the live server, so you’ll see that change (along with a few others) in the next event!
I can however tell you that we’ve already got quite a few siege weapon updates ready to go,
including the ability to kick out anyone using a siege weapon that you placed on the field.
This update and many more will be waiting for you in our next beta weekend
The commander and squad system is available

WvWの入り方は２つ ライオンズアーチのFort Marriner周辺のアシュラゲートと、HeroパネルのBe in The Mistボタン経由のいずれか
Many of you may be wondering ‘how do I get to WvW?’There are currently two ways.
In the southern end of the city of Lion’s Arch lies Fort Marriner,
and within that Fort are 4 Asura gates that lead to each of the Borderlands as well as the Eternal Battlegrounds.
You can get to the Heart of the Mists quickly by opening your hero panel,
clicking the crossed swords tab on the left side of the panel and clicking ‘Be in the mists’.
We do have plans to make it even easier to get to WvW in the future,
but for this weekend you’ll have to use the Asura gates in those two locations.
When you are venturing in the borderlands maps, you’ll notice that there are mining and lumber resource nodes available.
don’t worry, we’ll be adding the foraging and higher level nodes in future events.
Our CC tends to be shorter in duration because long durations are simply not fun for people who get hit with them and end up stunlocked till dead. On the other hand, almost every profession has access to at least some form of CC between stuns, knockdowns, knockbacks, chills, etc.
Everyone will need to learn that one of the keys to GW2 combat is WHEN to use your CC, and not just hit it as soon as you engage so you can roflstomp the target. Trust me, knockbacks used on people ressing can turn entire fights.
we are fairly firm about not showing names of the opposing teams
seeing enemies as anonymous ‘invaders’ creates a sense that
opponents won’t be able to recognize them and pick on them because of their lack of skill in a fight,
so they in turn feel more embolded to go out and fight in the first place.
Not showing names also makes it so people can feel as if they can ‘hide’ in a fight if need be,
but still be around to help out.
That’s a pretty critical part of making WvW feel more inviting for people
that would normally never think about playing PvP in any other game.
WvW is the place where you fight with your friends and show your might against a faceless never-ending horde of enemies.
It’s not about taking names,
it’s about taking back that tower and claiming it for your guild so it can wave your flag right in the enemies face!
We’re starting to see more siege and waypoints in use, but WvW is a bit too cost prohibitive right now for the pacing of these events.
I’ll more than likely drop prices on blueprints and upgrades for the next event just to get them in play a little more often,
but we’ll probably do another big pass on the economy of the game after we analyze all the data we get from this weekend,
so I’d be willing to bet you can expect some changes in the next event.
