この町は、1840年代に英国の兵営が置かれて発足し、この町の副長（deputy commissioner）であった人物（アボット少佐。後将軍）の名前をとって町名とした。↓
ワシントンポスト系のフォーリンポリシー誌は、この期に及んで、まだ、この町のイスラマバードからの距離を何と100マイル未満（！）としている。↓
ここは退役将官や将校が好んで住む町だ。↓
米特殊部隊のシール（SEAL）がアフガニスタンから２機のブラックホーク・ヘリで隠れ家を急襲した。↓
ちなみに、シールは、イランの米大使館占拠事件での抑留者を解放する作戦が失敗に終わったことを踏まえて1980年に創設されたもの。

ベルギー、オランダ（ヨーロッパ大陸）ってのが面白いな。
そこに日本人が紛れてて、今回の事件に対して一番厳しい見解をとってるのが、個人的にやるせない。
＞法政大学の多谷千香子教授は、明らかに問題があるとする。「米国にとって危険人物なら、誰でも殺して良いことになってしまう」
明らかに自由主義、民主主義の価値観を共有するすべての国々に対して脅威だったっしょ。
例え現行の国際法上、グレーゾーンだったとしても、このような利他的な行動(自由主義・民主主義の擁護)は批難されるべきではないし、国際法で禁止されるべきのでもないでしょ。
これをアメリカの横暴、利己的な行動だとする見解はおかしいし、あまりに超然的な見解すぎてついていけない。
自分は英米の一流紙の立ち位置を考慮して、無かった方に１ペリカはっとく。

本件に関し、昨日気づいた記事はこの一本くらいだったな。
アルカーイダと米国は（双方合意の上で公的な）戦争状態にあったのだから、アルカーイダの（最）重要人物たるビンラディンは、殺害対象にされて何の問題もないってわけ。
これはテロリストに対する警察行動じゃないってことだな。
ただしだ、諸君。
ジブラルタルでの1988年のIRAテロリスト容疑者達の英当局による無警告射殺（後で分かったことだが、容疑者達は武器も爆弾も携行していなかった）・・警察行動・・ですら、アングロサクソンの本家本元の英国は合法だったとしているんだから（コラム#803）ね。↓
本日は関連記事がたくさん出てたけど、一つだけ紹介しとこう。
コー米国務省法律顧問が少し前に言ったことが引用されているが、正当防衛にも言及しているのは、警察行動だった場合だよ。↓
なお、ビンラディンが射殺されなかった（彼がすっぽんぽんでいたというレアケースを除き、）可能性はほとんどゼロだった。↓

（欧州）大陸法系では手続き的正義が重視されない。他方、アングロサクソン法系では重視される。
逆に言えば、大陸法系では、有事においても、ある程度は平時法で対処できるけれど、アングロサクソン法系では、有事に到底対処できない。
今回の襲撃の法的妥当性を疑う声が大陸法系諸国から主としてあがっているのは、この基本のところを分かっていないフリをした偽善的犬の遠吠えってやつさ。

パキスタン国内で、米襲撃部隊を探知できず、やりたいように襲撃をやらせてしまったパキスタン軍が非難され始めている。↓

だから抵抗の意思ありとみなされて撃たれんだ。↓
気温の高さとそこが標高1200mだったことで、着陸時にヘリの浮力が十分確保できなかったってことのようだ。↓
この襲撃の法的妥当性についての国際的議論が続いている。
パキスタンの外相や陸軍参謀長や、英国教会のカンタベリー総司教やカストロによる「批判」は聞き流してよい。↓
しかし、ドイツ国内での執拗な批判は聞き捨てならない。

そこに日本人が紛れてて、今回の事件に対して一番厳しい見解をとってるのが、個人的にやるせない。
＞法政大学の多谷千香子教授は、明らかに問題があるとする。「米国にとって危険人物なら、誰でも殺して良いことになってしまう」
明らかに自由主義、民主主義の価値観を共有するすべての国々に対して脅威だったっしょ。
例え現行の国際法上、グレーゾーンだったとしても、このような利他的な行動(自由主義・民主主義の擁護)は批難されるべきではないし、国際法で禁止されるべきのでもないでしょ。
これをアメリカの横暴、利己的な行動だとする見解はおかしいし、あまりに超然的な見解すぎてついていけない。
自分は英米の一流紙の立ち位置を考慮して、無かった方に１ペリカはっとく。
