忘却からの帰還〜Atomic Age

Tom Lehrer (1928-)は1928年マンハッタン生まれ。19歳でHarvard Universityの数学科卒業し、翌年には修士取得。博士課程に進んだが博士学位は取得していない。1962年からMassachusetts Institute of Teconologyの政治学科で、1972年からUniversity of California, Santa Cruzで数学の講義を担当。2001年に最後の講義を行って引退。1955〜1957年にNational Security Agencyで陸軍勤務についている。作曲・作詞・ピアノ・歌の活動は1945〜1971年頃。

そんなTom Lehrerの1959年の「気分が高揚する歌であり、現代の讃美歌」が 「We'll All Go Together When We Go」。ここでは3バージョン（アルバム版・テレビ版・ライブアルバム版）に字幕付けてみた。

I am reminded at this point of a fellow I used to know whose name was Henry,

In addition to writing, he indulged in a good deal of philosophizing.

he especially enjoyed giving helpful advice to people who were happier than he was,
