(This is a good time to opt for the large popcorn and drink, so you can take advantage of the free refills then. ) Plus, most viewers will have a way better view of the show than if they had actually seen it live ? and at a fraction of a price. I wish every show would give the public an opportunity to experience live theater this way. You will root for Cosette (Lily Kerhoas) and Marius (Rob Houchen), and grieve for the adorable Gavroche (Logan Clark). Matt Lucas and?Katy Secombe are hilarious as Monsieur?Thénardier?and Madame?Thénardier, the Master and Mistress of the House, who provide the comic relief. It's March 2019. I haven't listened to this performance for years. I instantly broke into tears the minute it started.

Les misérables: the staged concert series. What a wonderful performance. And I just want to say to all the comments lamenting no JOJ in the recording, with all due respect, you are clueless to the draw that Alfie is. I do not debate anyone on JOJ's performance. He is a gift to us all, and if he's your personal favorite Valjean I wouldn't think you mad. But let's face it, Les Miz has us already, fans of the show would probably buy tickets to this, and later on purchase the DVD if last year's winner of the voice played Valjean. We love the show. But if someone who isn't a fanatic of Les Miz is on the fence whether or not to spend any money to see this, more people are going to be swayed when they see Alfie's name than JOJ's. Alfie's constantly touring, he's got a number of Albums. Hell, he was good enough for The Who, and had Hugh Jackman not been the most amazing all around performer we've all ever lived through, there's a better than excellent chance Alfie would have gotten cast in the movie (his hours and hours spent with Tom Hooper can back up that claim. So, while I feel all of your pain over not having a JOJ recording to view at your leisure, business dictates Alfie is the correct choice. If you really want to cry about injustices in Les Miz, let's go back to the complete symphonic recording featuring Garry Morris as Valjean because Colm was otherwise occupied.
