I just discovered your channel, gonna watch the full Witcher 3 lore playlist. Awesome job man. Look at all this salt I've collected from the comments. Delicious. @Luetin09 One thing that my mind stumbled over, several times hearing your dystopic explanations of 40K is that humans are a disposable resource. But to keep that resource up or even grow you need a high amount of reproduction 2 to 3 children per couple. Now, from my modern point of view: How do couples even meat when there is less spare time? Would they seek companionship if they see themself and their mate as disposable to the system? Who wants to set a child into this world without hope for progress? Doesn´t, raising children, trigger a lot of instincts controversial to the intentions of the system? I'm thinking about real life and movies examples: 1. Movie: the time machine I imagine the Eloi (resource to the Morlocks. And how obedient they were to following their tradition not knowing the death sentence awaiting them. (but they were having a good life and didn´t knew what was awaiting them) 2. African 3rd wold misery; If seen a documentary of people creating up to 9 Children, knowing that they don´t have enough food and only a view of them will survive. That´s a grade of fatalism unthinkable to us born in modern societies 3. Ancient Egypt slavery; even in slavery the hebrew were reproducing so much, that the pharao sent his troops on a killing spree for the slave children, to keep the numbers low and avoid rebellion (if lore from the old testament is true) 4. Movie: equilibrium every individual has to take a drug to be free of emotions, the dogmatic source of all evil and can therefore fulfill their roll of surveillance and other functions for the totalitarian state. (Though stories from the DDR-soviet-occupied-germany could make you ask if such a thing is necessary? 5. In the 3rd reich the girls were ordered to breed the next generation, for the nation. (That would explain why only man are portrait in the 40k facility paintings, because their responsibility in the system is to stay safe and create more disposable male resources.) So besides invitro farming (what is not mentioned in 40k as far as i know. these are my thoughts. What do you think or know.
