Audience Score 387 Votes Crime info In Mexico City's wealthiest neighborhoods, the Ochoa family runs a for-profit ambulance, competing with other unlicensed EMTs for patients in need of urgent care. In this cutthroat industry, they struggle to keep their financial needs from compromising the people in their care average rating 8 of 10 Mexico Looks great, well done. I've only seen a clip online, but the pace of it looks like it'll over blow the senses, in a good way.
Wheres scarlo. This looks like Chinese drama more than the production from Disney lol. As someone who's not super into Superman, it's nice to see something that seems very character-driven for him and his family. So often we hear how he has no personality, but this seems to really show that he does have one. Great video. Early squad ????? Love you Audrey ???????. This May, in the best retirement homes. I swear, Joe and Keith both have the same brain or “Like a Tiger.” “Tight!” Who would get that. Yeah its different but after reading up on the real story I have an appreciation for Disney for making this for us. I dont think of it as a live action remake but as a different movie to show you another aspect of Mulan's true heroism. Yes mushu being here in some way wouldve been cool but Disney is obviously not going for a comedy. And a non funny mushu would suck a little. Looks like there should be a good movie. You guys need to work on your sneaky moves?. Tus reacciones personales sí tienen importancia para mí. Saludos.
Audrey you are in you're apartment. This movie couldve easily taken at least 5 Oscars. What was France thinking. ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE, best Film of 2019. I'm so disappointed that this wasn't a sci-fi thriller. I thought John Lithgow was going to be a time traveller or an alien living on the 3rd rock from the sun. Imagine John lithgow lived in linlithgow in Scotland.
DUDE HAS THE EMOTION OF WHEN YOU TELL A JOKE BUT SOMEONE SAYS IT LOUDER AND EVERYONE LAUGHS. John Lithgow. Blythe Danner. Now there's a pair to draw to. Bruh, I watched this at JFF and youve got to see this immediately. There is something you need to understand: spoiling the whole mystery in your trailer ruins the movie... It's designed to kill you. Silent like ?. She's gonna use him then dump him. He will be so despondent that he will go to his shelter and lock himself in. Never to feel true happiness. But, he'll have plenty of freeze-dried food. Omg this scared the shit out of me. A24 and Adam Sandler. I never thought Id see the day. Interesting concept but I can't see how any ending wouldn't disappoint.
Every single SCENE in the movie was pure art. a true FEAST FOR THE EYES. My favorite film of 2019 so far. I loved Scarlett in this and I don't even like her usually LOL. I love you Audrey. Adolf Schulz-Evler Intermission Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise brillante, Op. 22 Frederic Chopin (1810-1849) Mephisto Waltz No. 1 Franz Liszt (1811-1886) PROGRAM NOTES Alberto Ginastera was trained in his native Argentina and developed a personal style that combines nationalistic traits with advanced contemporary techniques. He envelopes native melodies in his own highly refined harmonic and rhythmic appartatus. Danzas Argentinas, written when the composer was twenty-one, is a suite of three dances. "Dance of the Old Rancher" is polytonal with the right hand playing on white keys, the left hand on black notes. "Dance of the Charming Maiden" has a lilting and almost hypnotic effect. "Dance of the Shrewd Cowboy" is marked "furiously rhythmic and energetic. " Maurice Ravel initially envisioned a grand waltz in homage to Johann Strauss entitled "Wien" ("Vienna"). After World War I this idea eventually evolved into La Valse with its subtitle "choreographic poem. " Solo piano, duo piano and orchestral versions all were completed in 1920. In essence, this work is a sequence of waltzes that is divided into two sections, the second being an intesnsified restatement of the first. According to Ravel's own account, the setting of the piece is a grand ballroom at an imperial court about 1855, and the composition represents "a sort of apotheosis of the Viennese waltz. " The composer set the stage: "Through whirling clouds we catch a glimpse of couples waltzing. The clouds gradually lift, revealing an immense liall filled with dancers. The scene is gradually lit up. There is a burst of light from the chandeliers/' Johann Strauss, Tr. was only six years old when he wrote the first of his nearly 400 waltzes. All Europe was being swept off its feet by the waltz craze, and the popular appeal of Strauss' waltzes eventually led to his nickname of the "waltz king. " The charm, elegance, vivacity and sophistication of his music mirror the glitter and "joie de vivre" of nineteenth-century inperial Vienna. Strauss elevated the waltz to new heights of polish and phrasing, making it as suitable for the concert-hall as for the ballroom. By the Beautiful Blue Danube opens with a mood-setting introduction of this city by the river, continues through five waltzes, and finishes with a coda reprising each previous theme. Written in 1867, it became a musical signature for Vienna, playing on all festive occasions. Frederic Chopin left his native Poland in 1830, never to return. Before settling in Paris, he spent ten months in Vienna, where he complained that the popular appeal of the lighthearted Strauss waltzes was an indicator of the decline of musical taste. While in Vienna he composed his sixth and final work for piano and orchestra, the Grande Polonaise brilliant. He completed this noble and stately Polish processional court dance just prior to the final supporession of a year-long Polish uprising against the Russion czar. Three years later he prefaced the bravura polonaise with a lyrical nocturne-like Andante spianato. As reluctant soloist in the 1935 premiere at the Paris Conservatoire, he "electrified" the public. Franz Liszt held a longstanding fascination for the Faust legend. "Liszt feared God, but he loved the Devil, " it was said. It is symptomatic of the slant of Liszt's obsession that it is Mephisto and not Faust who comes to the fore in the scene he chose to illustrate from Lenau's poem. Mephisto Waltz No. 1, which dates from 1860, depicts Mephisto's arrival, accompanied by Faust, at a country wedding feast. While Faust courts the innkeeper's daughter, Mephisto appropriates a violin. He tunes it-the introduction- and then launches into the waltz proper, a transfixing dance that thoroughly enslaves his audi- tors. A second theme reminds of Faust's wooing of the dark-haired maiden, but the soft- ness of this melody is lacerated into a frenzy corresponding to the puppetlike behavior of the bewitched villagers. When the peak of abandon is reached, a far-off nightingale is heard. The peasants disperse, Faust leads away his conquest, and Mephisto continues to fiddle. They are also an example of a kind of very natural generational continuum. Grieg was already established and famous, when he and Nina traveled to Leipzig, where Grieg had been asked to conduct, just before Christmas in 1887. Having been a student at the Ixipzig Conservatory himself almost twenty years earlier, he was particularly interested in meeting, through fellow countryman, composer Christian Sinding, a certain young 'Norway-Crazy' Englishman, named Delius, who had just enrolled at the Conservatory. Frederick Delius, it seems, had discovered Norway a few years before, while representing his father's Yorkshire textile Firm there and, liking the country very much, he had already returned to visit friends and hike in the mountains. This fellow Delius had begun learning Norwegian already ? just after his First visit in 1882.. Grieg and Delius discovered they shared an affinity when it came to harmony, which ran very deep. Delius' early compositions are, in fact, very much influenced by Grieg, and the two, having many friends and literary enthusiasms in common as well, remained lifelong friends. Delius felt Norway to be his spiritual home and, hiker that he was, it wasn't long before he was affectionately nicknamed Mardangervidda-man by Grieg and others. Me was to spend 1 7 summers in Norway and, in later years, he and his wife built a cabin in Lesjaskog with a wide porch overlooking a panoramic valley view. Percy Grainger, like Grieg, held a firm belief in the validity of folk music as an important expression of a people, and the folk-idiom as a legitimate part of the language of concert music. Their meeting sparked an immediate friendship, which was to be short-lived, sadly, as the two met two years before Grieg's death in 1907. Hearing Grainger play his Slatter, Opus 72, Grieg's brilliant transcription/ transformations of Hardangei fiddle pieces, the elder composer commented that although Grainger may have been just 22 years old, no-one played them as idiomatically or as well. I SONGS by EDVARD GRIEG In his 160 songs, Grieg offers us a masterful range of expression, revealed here in the adolescent awakening of "Waterlily, " to the mystery of "Radiant Night. " to an aching vulnerablity in "Love, " on to the exhubcrance of the "Kid lings' Dance, " to end with the eloquent majesty of "At Rondane.
