I just watched this movie in theaters tonight. It was so beautiful and moving like your name. I loved the little your name references. Like the stairs, and taki and mitsuha. I just loved this whole movie. It was phenomenal.

They got married. The topics in this movie make my soul melt, animation, soundtrack, concept you named, is all great and unique.

Support this film is amazing. 2:24 Almost the same movie, just replacing different super nature elements? Sorry completely disagree. It's an inferior movie in comparison, sure. But saying it's Almost the same movie? You serious? Let's just take a look at a few simple plot points: First, in Your Name the two protagonists are forced into a situation together then start developing feeling for each other. In this movie it's not the case, the boy clearly had something ever since they first met in McDonalds. Second, in this movie the two protagonists actually have interactions and acknowledged they had some relationship before shit hits the fan. Third, the super nature elements: in Your Name the super nature element, or the god of Mitsuha's family Shrine is actually helping Takis ave her and the town from you know what. While the deity in Weathering with You is the source of the problem. And finally, the most difference part, the male protagonist's boss and his role in the story. I could go on into more details, but I think it's clear that saying it's Almost the same movie is not a fair criticism. I am not really that big fan of this movie, I never thought I'd be defending it like this lol. I think it has some structure problem and stupid moment.

I love how Taki and Mitsuha appears in the movie Just watched it today Ive cried so much. I mean, Disney is really good but Makoto Shinkai is just a few centuries ahead. Rain, clouds, sky and the sun. these contrast is so beautiful. And scenery in Tokyo is great. I think these are the best points of this movie. If you've been to there, you notice where there is. I swear there's something in radwimp's music that gives me the feels and a breakdown.

As a fan of makoto shinkai's movie, this one you should consider to watch it on a big screen and you wont regret it. The music and the animation are one of the main ingredients that can be enjoyed for the rest of the movie. The plot? It depend on your taste, me personally like "kimi no nawa" more than weathering W U. But trust me, i dont wanna say much here.
