There is no doubt something special about this band. As a musical artist of 25 years, I can honestly say that the Doors were my all time biggest musical influence. I'm always curious if the average listener can detect the influence of the Doors in my music without me mentioning it first. Search for Tony Colella and let me know. AWESOME. Robby ain't that bad at singing. Robby by far has to be the most underrated guitar player. Beautiful performance. Im not going to lie though, Scott Weiland displayed near perfection when he performed Break on Through and 5 to 1. He was practically channeling Jim Morrison, it was truly incredible. Both he and Eddie were/are great vocalists. R.I.P. Jim, Ray, and Scott. Your priceless contributions will never be forgotten. I remember driving my 1962 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible in the Spring of 1967 with the top down listening to this song in New Jersey while the DJ on AM radio slipped and played the long version to my surprise. It seemed the song went on forever! Great song putting you in a super good mood. I miss the 1960's for they will never come again. Ray is reading from his own book Light my fire.

Ray could do a 100% impression of Howard Stern. Although it was a dark subject, this was a really beautiful interview. Haven't heard light by fire in a while still f. amazing. Rest in Peace Ray, you were a genius. Densmore was great on those drums. Then there was Manzarek on those keyboards, and Robby Krieger on guitar. Finally the genius of Jim Morrison. This number had real movement. This looks like the days when J.M. was a little more conservative in his intake of foriegn substances.
