The problem with Lovecraft is when written, he can tell you It is a color you cannot see or a mass that was neither tall nor wide yet infinitely deep. He was trying to tell you that the things he was talking about were so incomprehensible that the mind couldn't even grasp it. His stuff was things that could never be put to film because they couldn't even be put to the human mind. Every time they do a Lovecraft film they get it pretty wrong. The Mouth Of Madness was about as close as they could get but this is one if the few stories I would have never guessed they'd take a shot at. However. if anyone could act in a film adaptation of Lovecraft, and their very craft fit that world, it would be The Cage. But without the 1920-30s feel to the story. I don't know if it works. I always felt Lovecraft works should be stuck in some 1920-1940s limbo time wise.
I watched the first 4 episodes today and I really like it. It's creepy and moody and I can't wait to see where it goes. Thanks for taking down The Color Out of Space for free on YouTube ? sarcasm. The baby is real and the Dad is the one that's crazy. That was really unsettling when he grabbed the baby by the legs, I didn't realize it was a doll lol the doll itself is freaky deeky man. Maneee, what a sick movie! I think im not going to sleep tonight... Damn. when they said Nicolas Cage would play any role. they weren't kidding. It was Interesting! I loved the first act and second act of the film more than I did the 3rd act but overall I thought it was a pretty decent flick. 6.8/10 or 7/10, I don't know if I can fully go with the 7 rating but if I will re-watch it eventually in a future it might get higher for me when it comes to rating for me personally. The Visuals and Cinematography for me were the best parts possibly of this film. Nicolas Cage in the 3rd act of the film was just over the top, like a completely different character from the first 2 acts. And some things in the 3rd act just didn't seem to connect or make sense a little for me but yeah anyways if you like Horror films especially if you a fan of H.P Lovecraft then. this could possibly appeal to you. I also think ' In The Mouth Of Madness' with Sam Neill was an awesome film! Which also?pays?tribute?to the work of seminal horror writer?H.P Lovecraft, such an underrated film! Check it out if you haven't.

So, I finally got to watch and enjoy a faithful HP Lovecraft adaptation. Richard Stanley is (in)famous for heavy use of fluorescent and bright colors in his movies, like Dust Devils and Hardware. This movie has all his standard trademarks, but is not marred with a slow, convoluted story or troublesome production and studio interferences. This is a simple story that gets infused with cosmic horror/terror. This might be his best work to date.

The cinematography, music, sound design, screenplay, even the acting is all on point. Nicholas Cage does a good job, and he goes full Nic Cage only when the movie needs him to. Tommy Chong is fantastic, as is basically every character. The colors are all turned up to 11, making for a unique cinematic experience that every movie/horror/sci-fi/HPL buff needs to make time for. It's like 'Mandy' but with stronger and more trippy colors. Glad Richard Stanley is back to making the movies he wants to make. Loved that it was more focused than any of his other movies I've seen. 110 mins quickly flew by and I wanted more. I was never bored. It's already one of my favorite 2020 flicks. It's far from perfect, but it does a great job. This will go mostly unnoticed because regular moviegoers now only care about bland popcorn flicks, i.e. movies for mass consumption, but I'm thrilled movies like this still get made.

The best of Lovecraft's tales. Saw this last night. As a huge Lovecraft fan this is probably the best on-screen adaption I've seen. Would not have achieved what it did without the phenomenal soundtrack from Colin Stetson. Hopefully his performance will be like Jacks in The Shining, it would fit perfectly. Well, I guess we know that the black man dies. Coming out in 2020 huh explain how i saw one of the movies already and its 2019 like bruh.
