I watched this movie after seeing the trailer and I still enjoyed it, even though everything about this movie was already shown in this ?. She's Missing freelance. She has a little of Ariana Grande and Jennifer Garner. Beautiful!??. Vertical Entertainment Constructed around a lopsided female friendship, “She’s Missing” is essentially a mood piece, a dusty reverie on belonging and connection. Its most valuable asset is Lucy Fry as Heidi, a diner waitress in small-town California whose best friend, Jane (Eiza González), suddenly disappears. When the movie around her threatens to spin into incoherence, Fry’s gently winsome performance keeps us watching. Pale-skinned and yellow-haired, Heidi is colored like the desert and will prove as quietly indomitable. Unlike the petulant Jane, who dreams of rodeo stardom and chafes at their backwater life, Heidi seems at ease in this place where the soft light and bleached landscapes can flicker with inchoate menace. And when Jane’s marriage to a soldier and life on a military base turn out to be more trap than escape, she is gone and Heidi becomes obsessed with finding her. Written and directed by the Irish filmmaker Alexandra McGuinness, “She’s Missing” is slow and dreamy and frustratingly opaque. Yet it has a potent sense of place and an ominous atmosphere of impermanence. Missing women haunt its frames, their faces on sagging posters and their names on the tongues of those searching for them. A government worker who has set up a detention center for migrants hangs around just long enough to romance Heidi and move on. “The American dream has been taken away from us, ” Jane complains; but the movie is less concerned with facile politics than with hopelessness, with a location that engulfs the rootless and erases the orphaned. Filled with casual omens ? a snake tumbling from a ceiling; a gun-store clerk warning of danger ? Heidi’s search grows increasingly fanciful. By the time we meet Josh Hartnett, playing a drug-peddling guru with a hippie harem stoned on cactus juice, the feeling that the story has officially slipped its leash is unavoidable. Until then, “She’s Missing” is oddly hypnotic, helped enormously by Gareth Munden’s striking cinematography. Real or mirage, his baked vistas and hazy horizons anchor a film that’s less about one vanished woman than many lost souls. She’s Missing Not rated. Running time: 1 hour 40 minutes.

A historically accurate movie with no people of color playing characters in 18th century England! That's hard to find nowadays...
Check my vids. If you like this drama, enjoy. Drama is caused by 51% of the world's population which have the same destructive nature. Movies with humans have the hero and girl trying to get with each other. They even include animals assuming human characteristics of that man-woman nonsense. Be careful of what gets brainwashed into your subconscious from this. Watch out for hole guys. The romance angle (romance(tm) is too much a term for this) is handled charmingly/cutesy but all of this is like aw man here we go with this stuff. I know this movie is showing guidance to males how to deal with females. All imagination shown in this movie, creativity is the male ability, while females are replication of humans (aka babies) so both goals are contrasts with each other and know if you stick it in their hole your creativity goes swoosh disintegrates, you fall inline with patriarchy which is uncompromising. Replication is them celebrating the debauchery of humankind while creativity is trying to get closer to God (creating imaginative things.) Any contact with female is the road to babies guys. Even the cutesy way movie dalliances are portrayed. I cant provide all the know-how on the matter, what I can state here that someone else hasn't figured throughout the thousands of yrs of human knowledge. They want to grind up men but it is I who grind them into fine dust. I get it's hormones, just j/o in toilet or napkin.

A lovely portrait of life in a classic American west tradition. It's nice to see more of a 60s head trip film that also makes a real connection to its characters. I loved it. All of the movies in the trilogy are cheesy as heck but darn it, I want to watch it.

Alexandra McGuinness (2018) Irish film-maker Alexandra McGuinness set her feature-length debut Lotus Eaters in London, where feckless young folk dull their existential pain with drink and drugs. A native of Dublin who moved to London for film school, she has yet to make a feature film set in Ireland. Here, she ambitiously aims for a Paris, Texas -like missing-persons drama set against a backdrop of rodeos and military wives in New Mexico. Eiza Gonzalez ( Baby Driver) and Lucy Fry play gal pals Jane and Heidi, who have contrasting outlooks on life beyond the grind of waitressing and getting out of it on sachets of cactus-green barbiturate - the former is a married, wannabe rodeo queen who dreams of escape, the latter seemingly happy with her lot, even dallying with an older man who offers virtually nothing in return. When Jane disappears without trace, only Heidi seems to care, and the quest to find her bestie sends her to some dark places. She's Missing is laconic and slow-moving, and occasionally fuzzy, but it has a palpable sense of small-town ennui and accepting your lot in life. There's a touch of Andrea Arnold's free-flowing American Honey but without its sense of freedom, and a wasted cameo from Josh Hartnett. However, McGuinness clearly relishes worlds outside of her own and shows real investment in her female protagonists.
