So, a friend of mine is a horror film aficionado, and I decided to ask him about some of his favorite horror films. Turns out, there's a great deal more horror films than I thought, spanning nearly 140 years worth (he loves this stuff. He started going on and on about all sorts of neat franchises I'd never heard of, and got to see a few of them. We all know of some of the more famous ones that we want (It anyone. but what if we compiled a list of them because boredom reasons? I've decided to create said list, because working in IT during a dead period with no tickets is for chumps. Please note that as expected, there are spoilers present throughout these descriptions, so look away if you care for that sort of thing. There is no earthly way that everyone of them could fit in this game given the average GaaS space games like Dead By Daylight tend to inhabit before a sequel comes out (5-12 years) so I only went through and chose the most iconic that added something unique besides generic slash killing, as we've our fair share of those at the moment. Some killers, such as in The Grudge/The Ring, have already been added as a similar killer already, and so didn't make the list (The Spirit. Lastly, some absolutely excellent horror films in general didn't make my list because the killer either wasn't unique enough or has been done already before. The Alien: A xenomorph alien lifeform from a remote ship wreck discovered in space. The alien was born straight out of the nightmarish head of H. R. Giger and his tormented drawings/artwork. The offspring of this loathsome creature leap onto people's faces and lay eggs inside of them, which will eventually burst out of them and continue to propagate, taking genetic material from its host to better hunt down its prey. Game design space: Attacking someone and laying eggs in them shares similar space to the Pig's playstyle. Something would need to change to this pattern in order to be workable in this game of cops vs robbers, as the only acceptable outcome to not getting the egg out would/should be death, which is already (excellently, might I add) done through the Pig's gameplay. The Candyman: A vengeful folklore spirit of a famous black painter, who eventually attracted the anger and hatred of a man who hired a mob to lynch him for his only sin of loving his white daughter during the then highly racially charged 1890's. The mob cut off his hand and smeared it with apiary honey, where bees then devoured his flesh. He was later burned at the pyre. The Candyman's gimmick is that his spirit was bound to tales of him, and of his need to spread his story (and killing while doing so) in order to sustain his existence. A sad and excellent tale, but design wise there's an enormous amount of space as his signature method of killing is B E E S. In the eyes, organs, you name it. Not sure what could be done with such a character in dbd, as his lore is modestly reminiscent of Freddy's. All I know is that the mori had better be of his iconic horror scene where he kisses the protagonist, sending a swarm of bees down their throat. The Babadook: The antagonist in this film is a take on the horrors of single parenting. In this tale, an exhausted and miserable widow takes care of her child, who she barely understands. She eventually finds a children's book called Mr. Babadook, about a creature who feeds on denial and sorrow. The child becomes convinced that Mr. Babadook is real, and the effects of the tale slowly affect his mother, who begins to experience events that make her utterly miserable and deranged. This eventually culminates with the mother attempting to kill her son, who snaps out of it at the last second vomiting a large amount of black ooze. Eventually the creature is confronted and robbed of its greatest strength, denial, and is cast into the basement. The two eventually come to an uneasy relationship with the creature, and feed it earthworms. Design wise, this film depict active hallucinations, m i s e r y, and possession effects. There are a number of possession movies out there, but this is one of the better of the bunch for this particular design. The Brute: The story of an amateur alchemist named who took things a little too far. is a very old tale about the duality of man. In the classical tale, Dr. Jekyll is a well made man of higher social standing who attempts to create a potion to separate his evil and selfish urges. He succeeds in dividing his mind into two, an enormous, selfish, murderous brute version he calls, and his original form of Eventually, he becomes dependent on the thrill of this other form, and begins to transform back and forth uncontrollably. The film(s) are more of a mystery than a true horror film, but the classicness of the tale bares similar traits with dbd's as-of-yet unnamed alchemist, who appears to be having a similar situation. If the alchemist is released as a killer, then would probably be incompatible. Design space would include everything an enormous brute would involve, throwing map objects as people like Left 4 Dead's tank, smashing walls, and so on. There are many ways such a thing could be designed. The Lagoon Creature: The tale of the creature of the black lagoon is also old, but still a goldie. A swamp creature who resides in a large aquatic region around a lagoon. A band of researchers visit the lagoon looking for some blahblahblah get ambushed by the creature, who falls in love with one of the woman with the research team. This 1950's era movie featured the creature swimming stealthily out of ponds, surfaces of water, and making rudimentary traps. For that design, large sections of water would need to be added to the maps, potentially making running through them very noisy and difficult for survivors for killer instinct reveals for those who run, resulting in having to gauge whether certain generators are worth it. The Count: Or the Vampire. Yeah, this guy needs no preamble or explanation. Dracula's one of the most classical horror film icons out there, I'd bet money this guy comes out within the timetable of the next two years. There's all sorts of ways he can be done, but unique components to him involve flying, blood drain, and magic. Given dbd's design, I'd imagine that the flying component would be needed the most, with a requirement that you couldn't turn back from a bat until you were out of sight of the survivors, forcing a stealthy playstyle. The Oni's kind of taken blood drain's design space, but there's always room for more. The Werewolf: I figured I'd get the classics out. There's a couple dozen werewolf films out there. The design is straight forward, smelling blood, running fast, charging at people, and howling. A vicious chasing killing machine through and through. They'd probably set this as an in universe killer given the very high amount of adaptations of this, but I'd probably say that some kind of cheesey 80's high school character might make a nice change of pace. Followed by murder. Unique components worth going around involve blood scent, where the more puddles of blood are in an area, the brighter and more pronounced it is to them. I'd give such a thing extreme speed in exchange for a truely obnoxious vision reduction, having to rely on scent more than sight through a UI design to reward clever play from survivors. The Horde: At this point, I'm mostly adding this one for the sake of being thorough in my search. The Night of the Living Dead, is one of the most iconic horror films of all time, but the current day and age culture of zombies, the never ending stream of zombie game mods, the endless movies, means that there's almost a sense of goofiness instead of terror. At this point, an opportunity could be taken to make a Left 4 Dead Director style killer, where instead of one killer, the player can create a good portion of zombies and gently (but frustratingly) guide them towards certain directions, much like a bad RTS. To not mess with the formula too much and minimize the amount of added work, melee weapons would be needed to be placed around the map as items with charges to temporarily repel or sometimes kill one of these creatures, only to have them rise elsewhere. Game pacing still requires that these still need to be hid from, for while the weapons could repel, they cannot be permanently dealt with. This could reward clever game play with survivors making aura trigger events and noise/distractions to draw away a very slowly moving zombie away while their teammates repair a generator, in exchange for, I dunno, 16 of them throughout a map. Perhaps the Evil Dead could fit the role for this? Ash never did have a killer, which was a same as I'd love to watch him have some cheesy lines about the book. The Spider: The last of our really old killers. There have been several 'excellent' 70's horror films involving spiders the size of buses that go around attacking and killing people. Since our list is made of a great deal of humanoid monsters, a monstrous one should round things up well. Design space could involve laying spider eggs for little spiders that swarm players and must stomp them out or scream incoherently, or laying webs. Good design space. At this point on, most killers end up being franchised base. The Lamia: Drag me to Hell is a magnificent horror film involving a foolish banker who denies a gypsy woman a 3rd extension to her mortgage and embarrasses her morbidly in an attempt to secure a higher position at her company. "Embarrass an old Gypsy woman" is not a very wise thing to do it seems, and the gypsy returns to curse the protagonist by ripping off one of her buttons and returning it to her. She later dies, securing her curse. A monstrous demon named the Lamia begins to stalk her through a number of ways, hallucinations, eyeballs appearing on objects while she hunts for a way to be free of the demon during he

Ginger and Goldie were still asleep, Ginger snoring lightly, Goldie's hand still wrapped in his. She had not moved either, though she breathed steadily, and her eyes were still half-open. I rose silently and crept into the foyer. No-one else was there. The door was closed. I scrunched the carpet lightly under my toes. Outside it was light, and clear; it looked like a cool sunny day. My boat waited beneath the trees, ready to go. When I returned to the changing room, Ginger was awake. Goldie was still elsewhere. “Good morning, ” he said. I yawned. “Morning. ” “Did you sleep well? ” “Yes, thanks. You? ” He nodded and stretched. I asked after Goldie, but he reassured me she would be fine, that this was normal, and not to worry. I decided to take them at their word. I helped move the chairs back and fold the blankets, and we ate some tea and biscuits before he sent me on my way. I said a heartfelt thank you and told Goldie I hoped she'd be awake soon. It felt a bit silly talking to her when I wasn't sure if she could hear me, but you never know how much someone understands. Ginger and I shook hands, and he walked me to the door, waving me off when I untied the boat. Feeling refreshed, I left them there and rowed a little way downriver. In the distance, a line of trees grew bigger and bigger until I passed them, and the grass went from green to brown again. A small corrugated iron house sat nearby, surrounded by arid fields. Something caught my eye in the river just around the corner. I pulled round slowly, cautious. There was a young boy about five or six playing with a little white dog in the water. They were soaked through. The boy was laughing, splashing at the dog, and the dog barked and bit at the water, wagging their tail. The boy noticed me and his face lit up. “Hi! ” he shouted, waving enthusiastically. “I'm Strings! What's your name? ” “Hey! ” I called back. “I'm Frisbee. ” “Is that your boat? ” He sounded Australian. “Yeah, ” I said. He disappeared below the water, popped up again, and sprayed water from his mouth. The dog barked and he giggled. Water trickled into his eyes, his hair was a wet dark-blonde slick over his forehead and bristle-short on the sides. His eyes were pale blue and shining. He swam to the side of my boat and rapped on the side, sending a dull thunk. “Knock knock, ” he said. “Sea monster! ” Well, he was charming. I laughed. “Sea monster, huh? Like the Kraken? ” “The cracking? ” “The Kraken. It's a big squid thing. ” “Oh! ” He though for a moment, then grinned again and roared at me. “Do you wanna play? ” “Okay. ” “Great! Come on! I wanna ask my neighbours! ” The boy pulled himself out of the water. The dog came after him. They ran ahead, beckoning me to follow. I noticed his clothes were similar to the other peoples' old. Brown shorts and a white shirt that was stitched at the elbows, and on the bank sat a pair of old shoes that were too big. He hurtled barefoot through the grass and I wondered how long it had taken for his feet to harden. I tied up the boat and followed him. He was running toward the house. The grass became thin and brown and soon turned to dirt, little sprigs of plants poking out of the ground in lines. A rainwater tank leaned against the wall. The sun was high in the sky, and a faint smell of dust and wheat filled the air. Far away across the field, a wiry man planted seeds, pressing them into the earth. “Do you live here? ” I asked. “They're my neighbours. ” A woman's voice came from the window. At first I thought she was talking to Strings, but he didn't move to respond. I caught a few words. “... Need you to. for me. ” His smile faded. “Oh, ” he said. “It's a poison day. ” “A what? ” “A poison day. I was hoping it was a playing day. ” That made me uneasy. I gestured toward the house. “Can I. ” Strings nodded. I peered into the house. Three children, two boys about five or six and a girl about three, played together in a small room. Beside them was a kitchen. A young woman and a girl of about eleven were in there. They were talking in low, tense voices. I edged closer. The girl looked up and I froze. I was sure I must look like a weirdo, peering in the window, but she didn't seem to notice me. I moved closer to her line of sight, waving, hoping to reassure her I wasn't a threat, but she stared right through me, eyes far away. The window was open. I could hear their conversation. The woman moved across the room and spoke to the girl. She looked confused. I made out the words “Something for me, ” and saw the woman's face, drawn and pale. She was young, but stress had marked her face. The girl asked what, and the woman took her by the arm and led her outside, glancing around, keeping an eye out for the other children. “I bought some rat poison, ” the woman said in a low voice. “It's in the kitchen. ” The girl looked confused. “Okay. ” “Put it in the food. ” My heart dropped. The girl looked shocked. “What? ” The woman's mouth twitched. She seemed to drag the tears back into herself, refusing to let them come. “Please. Put it in the food. ” “I can't do that! ” “We can't stay like this. Please. ” The girl tried to move away. “I can't do it myself. ” “Hey! ” I stepped closer. “What are you doing? ” They ignored me. I waved, aware of how crazy I must look, how rude this would be in any other situation. ” “But ? ” The woman turned. At first my heart jumped; I thought she'd seen me. But she was turning toward the girl, face taut with desperation. “We are desperate, ” she said, “The crops are barely growing, we just about have enough to eat ? to sell? I can't think of anything else to do, so ? please. ” “Hello? ” I stepped between them. They didn't register me. “Please, ” she said again, and walked away. She looked haggard and ashamed. The girl stared straight ahead. Straight through me. A thousand-yard stare. No child should have a thousand-yard stare. The boy watched me from a few feet away. “You don't have to do it, ” I called, frantically trying to figure out what to do. “You ? I don't know what you've got going on, but there are other ways ? ” She had gone. I shouted, “HEY! ” but she ignored it. They couldn't hear me. Shit. Scrooge and the ghosts. The girl was walking toward the house. Shit! I ran inside. The kitchen. It was sparse, the box was easy to find. Tucked under the sink. I dropped to my knees and tried to pick it up, wanting to hide it, but my fingers passed straight through. “No, ” I whispered, “No. ” I tried my other hand, my foot, my hands wrapped in my jacket sleeves, but no. I couldn't pick it up. I could hear her coming. “Come on, come on! ” I slapped the sink in frustration. Footsteps sounded behind me and the girl appeared. “Please don't do it, ” I said desperately. “Please, you'd be killing them! Please don't! ” But she did not notice I was there. She picked up the box. She looked around her and turned it over in her hands, weighing the options. I could see the gears turning. Obey her mother, or keep her innocence? The weight of that decision made her hands heavy. I saw them shake as she stared, frozen in a decision far too adult for her to make. Outside, the wiry man tended the earth. His shovel dug in deep, I could see his shirt wrung with sweat. The back of his neck was shiny in the sun. The dirt yielded little, it was dry and crumbly. They were all skinny, I realised, looking at them. The woman was right. The land wasn't providing. What a time that woman must have had, that mother. Watching her family scrape by and being powerless to do anything. Powerless to do anything except cry for help, or, in her case, ask her child to do what she could not bear. The girl put the box back and pushed it right against the wall. I breathed a sigh of relief. She set to cooking dinner. There wasn't much. A bit of bread and a few veg. She mixed the vegetables with water to make soup. Outside, Strings watched through the half-open window. He was so close his breath ought to have fogged the glass, but it was clear. He could see me. The others couldn't. And it didn't look as though they could see him either, although occasionally the girl would jerk her head to the window as though she'd seen him out the corner of her eye. The girl stuck her head out of the window. Her voice was too loud. “Dinner. ” Her mother stared at her, but she looked away. They filed into the house. I stayed. The kitchen was cramped but they couldn't see me, and I found if I stood in the corner of the room I was out of the way. They sat down. The younger children talked and giggled, pulling faces at each other. The man gave his children a stern look. “Your mother'll say grace. ” They settled down. The mother said grace, her voice shaking. Her hands shook alongside it. The girl kept her eyes on the bowl. When she had done, she took up her spoon, and it rattled on the crockery. The younger ones ate quickly, but the older girl and her mother ate slowly. They did not look at each other. Perhaps the mother noticed the lack of difference in taste. Perhaps not. I could not tell. It was quiet. They finished their food and the younger ones were sent to bed. The father went to wash. I saw the older girl gather the bowls, wash them clean in the little sink, stack them to dry on the side. The woman stood at the table before closing the windows. “I'll tuck them in, ” said the girl, breaking the silence. “I'll be in in a minute, ” said her mother. The girl nodded and left the room. When she was gone, the woman stood in the doorway to the kitchen and stared at the box under the sink. She looked at it for a very long time. She took a step toward it, stopped, and turned back, and sat at the table, staring at t

Ill give it to u/zacped for the first part of the final - Paulie was a soccer player at Rutgers, and a damn good one at that. However, we all know that after he sports, hell spend the rest of the final being an absolute douche-canoe. Yall, Paulie once called the Big Brother house “a complete space of peace” similar to the serenity Buddhist monks experience. He compared his experience on Big Brother to that of Buddhist monks. Buddhist monks! What goes on in that kids mind, yall? Hell spend the entire time talking about ‘the lions mentality and how hes gonna fuck your girl, completely forgetting that hes fucking Cara for followers he loves Cara with his whole penis heart. Now, lets get to voting! On Rivals, Tyler - along with partner Bananas - won 3 daily challenges: Hammock Crawl, Against the Current and Sawed Off, demonstrating Duckworths strength, endurance, and ability to work in a team. Theresa Gonzalez In her 6th season on the show, Theresa was hungry for the win. She showed up with her original partner (Wes) and showed out, winning 3 challenges in the first 6 weeks: I Got You Babe, Open Arms and Dont Forget About Me. She proved that she was strong, smart and brilliant swimmer. When she got eliminated right before the final, it was tough on her but she was able to come back a week later to replace Nia as Leroys ex… and she killed it, showing us all that she is a brilliant team member. DaVonne Rogers Following a tough rookie season partnered with Jozea on Final Reckoning, DaVonne is back to prove that shes a competitor. After winning the very first challenge, Impending Dune, DaVonne is picked by Bear as a partner and shows that no matter who she is partnered with, shes ready to compete and can set aside differences to work together. Hell tell you that you look like his mother at the age of 60, but dont you dare repeat it back to him or hell fuck you up. He graduated from fifth grade and then went straight on to the Real World, so ‘Tony Time isnt just a catchphrase - he literally cant tell time and is just saying that to cover his ass. He once got head-dropped over some pasta. Whatd you say about his mom? Kailah Casillas thought she could change Cory. She peed the bed; then, he had two children with two other women. There are whispers that she has the lyrics to ‘Rumors tattooed on her inner thigh in homage to her celebrity crush. Shes loud, shes angry, and she really hates it when Diem gets attention. Shed love to get kicked off for you, Beth. Trust. She did you all a favor! The Gauntlet Final Description Before we knew we were running the losers bracket, u/MandyMTV wrote this up for the main tournament! In ‘The Gauntlet I, the ‘Gold Rush final challenge had Challengers complete a four mile course with seven obstacles that needed to be completed. The first team to finish wins the prize money. Set-Up: Across the four-mile course, completion of each of the seven obstacles gives each team a piece of gold. The first team to get each piece of gold and make it to the finish line will win. If a teammate cannot finish the final, the team can either take a ten minute penalty and leave the player or the team can carry the player to the finish line. Obstacles: Uphill Climb: Players complete a 1. 3 mile climb uphill. Gold Block: Challengers must climb up and over a 12 feet wall Cash Crawl: Challengers must all crawl under a cargo net to complete this obstacle. Gold Digger: Each team has two shovels and must dig deep in the soil to find a lock box which needs to be retrieved before moving on. Dough-Nut: Every player must make it through a tire lifted about five feet above the ground before moving on to the next obstacle. Loop the Loot: A piece of gold is located in the middle of a pond. Players must retrieve their piece of gold from the middle of the pond using a rope. Goldie-Locks: Players must now unlock the lock box they found during ‘Gold Digger. At this obstacle, players are given one digit of the three-digit code they need to open the lock on the lockbox, and must get two other digits from the license plate of their Saturn car. When they figure out the code, they can unlock the box, get the key, and thus get the piece of gold they need to move on to the next obstacle. Gold Bar: The players must assemble the pieces of gold they received throughout the final into the correct shape (a tangram) in order to complete a puzzle and race to the finish line. Road Rules Bracket Match: u/notthatblonde vs. u/abdyny Final: Vendettas Teams [ u/notthatblonde] Tony Raines, Final Reckoning Devin Walker, Vendettas Theresa Gonzalez, Battle of the Exes II Aneesa Ferreira, The Gauntlet II [ u/abdyny] Johnny Reilly, Free Agents Dee Nguyen, War of the Worlds II Just two friends Two great friends Winners Logic u/notthatblonde Theresa Gonzales is no doubt one of the most well rounded female players in the history of The Challenge. A great physical, strategic and social player, she can be a key asset in any final challenge as her physicality makes her stand out amongst the other women in the field, and she can take on any type of task, be it puzzles, swimming, or endurance. Tony Raines: His physicality alone is a great start for Tony, but his qualities in a final challenge do not stop there by any means. There is no food that he would not eat, no endurance challenge that would break him, and where he lacks in raw abilities, he makes up with a huge heart and passion. Where Tony is the brawn, Devin is definitely the brains. Very strategic and super smart, Devin will excel at any cerebral task, so bring on the puzzles and the quizzes! Moreover, with his recent bulk up, his physical abilities are not to be discounted either. And let's not underestimate his ability to get to his opponent's heads. Aneesa Ferreira: The girl has heart, and she puts it in everything she does, as her early elimination stats prove. She may not excel at any particular tasks, but she can definitely old her own in most areas, and can be a great team player, which is essential in a final. u/abdyny (Brought to you by the lovely u/ND_PC) Okay, so this user has been disqualified from the contest because they only drafted two players. Please take this moment to play the two songs listed with their team members. Goldie movie watch free. I just woke up from the strangest dream. Even though I'm a grown woman, in the dream I was still quite young. I was carrying around my favorite Ragety Ann doll and I don't know what happened to my family, but I was living with a couple who were kind, but a little dumb, and their 3 kids. They discovered that I had an off-beat talent. I could move objects with my mind, and often played with my doll that way. The other kids grew jealous of me and started avoiding me. The oldest, a girl, dared me to make Ann fly. I did, inside. When we went outside she dared me again. It was windy so I said no, thinking it would be too hard to control. She took Ann from me and wrecked her clothes. I had to chase her down to get my doll back. "My doll. Not your doll! Mine. We had to move, and I had a considerable amount of money, so we went looking for a house for me to buy. We found an old Manor, I mean old, with long twists and stairways everywhere and rooms galore. I loved it. I started exploring it as did the rest of the family. They were terrified, but I was content. As I was exploring, I walked up to a 3rd floor and there were a couple of dolls sitting at the top of the stairs. I watched them move on their own, it wasn't me controlling them, so I say at the top of the stairs and smiled at them. "Are you dolls haunted. They looked surprised that I would calmly ask. One was porcelain with gold hair and the other was slightly smaller, plastic, and brunette. Goldy eyed me suspiciously. "Yes. Why do you ask. Oh how sweet! I'm asking because I'm looking to buy the manor. It's up for sale. I want to know what you'd think about that. Browny started. "You actually want to buy our house. Yes. I replied, if it would be alright with you. I ended up buying the house. The 3rd floor was haunted, but they didn't bother me, the family stayed in a modern cottage in the grounds because they hated the manor. I had the whole place to myself to explore and slowly restore. It was heavenly. Note: I haven't watched any movies with telekinesis in them lately, but I did watch Casper last week. I just don't know why I ended up dreaming a whole story. It was great! I was so happy in the end of the dream. I'd really like help unpacking the symbolism here.
