• Synopsis - April 6, 1917. On a battlefield in Northern France, Lance Corporal Tom Blake with the British Army is asked to choose one of his battalion colleagues to join him on an assignment, he choosing his best friend, Lance Corporal Will Schofield. It isn't until Blake chooses Schofield that they learn of the dangerous nature of the mission: to hand deliver a message to Colonel MacKenzie leading another nearby battalion, they having to cross no man's land to what they have been told are now the abandoned German trenches to get to MacKenzie just past the nearby town of Écoust. The message, which must reach its destination by dawn tomorrow, is for MacKenzie to abort his troop's attack then on the supposedly retreating Germans who are in reality lying in wait, the Germans having planned this deception for months. The lives of MacKenzie and his 1,600 men are at risk if the message does not make it through in time, one of those men being Blake's brother, Lt. Joseph Blake. Blake and Schofield's stories as it pertains to them as soldiers in the bigger picture of the war, as soldiers trying to stay alive, as friends, and as human beings who have their own motivations are told for as long as they are able to survive on this mission

No Irishman. Fallon asks the WORST questions. Are you fine being called an unknown? Are you afraid you might mess up? Omfggggg. Who else is here after watching the movie? The movie was exceptional! Or rather should I say it was an art? I literally have no words to describe this film. Matt Damon and Christian Bale killed it with their acting, Kudos to Jon Bernthal too! These are the movies which deserves to be watched on big screen rather than on TV or phone or laptop, a CLASSIC movie! I hope the movie makes it to the Oscars coz the film totally is Oscarworthy. Even if it fails to win any Oscars I want it to win atleast an Oscar for 'Adapted Screenplay.

Battlefield 1. Its a scary timeline. am glad not to have existed during WW1-WW2 decades. Goosebumps. We are captives of our own identities, living in prisons of our own creations. ? T-Bag, Prison Break. WW I: the war to end all wars. I honestly loved this film as a comparison to ww2 because it summed up how distance was vital in ww1. The French woman wasnt the babys mother. The woman didnt even know who the mother was.
I saw the trailer to this movie I thought it was an interesting set up but, I thought I was going to play like every other war movie. The beginning of the movie It Takes a turn that surprise me and then I kind of play like Saving Private Ryan in a way. Only in a couple ways though everything else was kind of fresh and original.

Cinematography is overwhelmingly beautiful and yet suspenseful as it puts you right in the scene as another soldier. Shot in a pov perspective and almost one continual shot from start to finish. Loved the scene that was a cross section of the front line, from the green fields on the Belgium side, then into the allied trenches through to the mud and barbwire of no man's land, then into the german trenches and further along, their supply lines and heavy artillery and finally into the green fields of the conquered countryside. It was an eye opening, fast paced sequence.

Most probably the best movie for 2019. You all gotta watch it because I haven't yet and that's why I'm on my way to the cinema. 1917 movie download. Though, I understand where you're coming from about character development (or lack thereof) I didn't find myself struggling to understand, care for and root for the two men. To me, this was the definition of perfectly executing negative space- by not being dialogue-centered, but still giving plenty enough to understand the core of who they are- which goes even beyond their dialogue, obviously, as their actions often said more than they ever could. It was masterfully done, in my opinion.
