But the only difference is that both the protagonist yearns for the retaliation instead of one amongst the both which gets largely illustrated in other movies. Advit Thakur ( Aditya Roy Kapur) detained and depressed by his broken family bond, plans to get far away from it. And on the other hand, Sarah ( Disha Patani) plans for a trip in order to enjoy her life which she perceived to have been controlled by her parents. Thus, both of them dissatisfied with their life, get down at Goa and they coincidentally meet each other. Sarah carries a wish to explore different things which was unexplored by her before. Thus, with every such wish completion, she unties a knot from her wrist band. Being attracted to Sarah after their first meet, Advit travels with her to fulfill her wishes. As they spend several intimate times together, she gets pregnant. Though Sarah first decides to drop the baby, later after noticing Keshav¡Çs tears ( Anil Kapoor, the cop) on his daughter¡Çs death during a gunshot, she understands that her parents weren¡Çt wrong in controlling her life. And was the only friend of Sarah and Advit in Goa. Thus, after separation, Sarah stayed with Jessie. As that night, Jessie went out, Michael considers Sarah to be Jessie. But Sarah denies and asks him to get out. Though he walks away, her words ¡È Aurat ko respect Karna toh nahi aata, aaye mard banne ¡É pierces Micheal¡Çs manliness. And thus he attempts to kill her. The movie starts off with a brutal fistfight in jail where the protagonist Advait Thakur (Aditya Roy Kapoor) bashes up a gang of inmates & the audiences feel wow, this will be one hell of a thriller. But alas, that is not to be. br> It is Christmas eve in goa and a trigger happy encounter specialist Agashe ( Anil Kapoor) receives a phone call from the protagonist intimating him about murders which he is about to commit. Since the victims are all policemen from another cop (Khemu's) team, both Anil Kapoor and Khemu go all out to catch the killer.

Why is the protagonist murdering policemen, that too on Christmas eve & Why does he want the encounter specialist to know about it forms the crux of the story. Kapoor as the protagonist, has a tragic love story with his lady love Disha Patani (oozing oomph in every scene. This runs as a flashback & in parallel to events happening in the present. One major flaw is that the flashback story is slow and has too many songs which slows down the narrative of the fast paced action happening in the present. The narrative is like a car that revs up from zero to 100mph and then suddenly comes down to zero the next moment. To again rev up to 100mph as the stories toggle between present and past. I could hear people yawning and taking an early loo break during the flashback scenes and songs. Anil Kapoor as the encounter specialist gives an awesome performance. Definitely the best of the lot. Kunal Khemu as an upright police officer gives a restrained performance. Decent job. Aditya Roy Kapoors hunky body might have the ladies drooling but as a protagonist he is the weakest link amongst the three male leads. Does not connect with the audience and leaves a lot to be desired. Patani is hot, sexy and a treat to the eye. Does a decent job in the acting department too. On the Music front, the title track is nice and hummable. Action scenes are decently shot. Direction by Mohit Suri is just about Ok. Verdict: The trailer had raised a lot of hopes about it being a twisted action thriller. However the weak storyline pulls it down and makes it an average film. Length of the film could have been pulled down by at least 20 mins. Watch at your own risk in the theatre might just get you on the Palang.
