It’s that time of the year again.
My least favorite time of the year.
It’s immigration season and I hate it.
I hate it.
There’s nothing more stressful than not knowing whether or not you’re going to get deported.
I’m not going to get deported.
But I’m the type of person who you know prepares to die every time I get on an airplane and in the same way it’s like every time I handed my paper.
I kind of just get ready to say goodbye to my whole life.

“I’m going to miss this apartment.
I have so many good memories here.
The computer… I can probably sell you.”
But luckily this summer they’re going to be changes to the whole immigration system in poll season everything and a lot of things will be going to change and they’re changing in a good way and I think the biggest thing that’s happening this summer is the abolishment of the alien registration system.
People like me who aren’t Japanese will no longer be referred to as aliens.

But rather we will be able to register in Japan just like normal people do.
I’ve had this alien registration card for such a long time.
Half the Fun of having one is when you're presented and people say “this doesn't look like you.”
I think the only other thing I’m going to miss about the alien registration card is how I’m no longer going to be able to think of myself as an alien.
But I know I know by definition an alien is an unnaturalized citizen of a foreign contry.

But I would much rather think of myself as the second definition of alien which is creature from out of space.
I’m pretty sure that 90% of foreigners did arrive in Japan by an aircraft and while the Japanese people are some of the nicest in the world, do you kind of get this vibe that they don’t know that I’m actually a human being.
I can't even count how many times I’ve heard people say things like…
“ミカエラってさぁ・・・アイス食べる？
えっ・・私の言ってることわかってる？

ねぇ・・まつげ触っていい？
ねぇ、ミカエラ・・日本食・・食べれる？
ねぇ、ミカエラ・・なんでそんなに鼻高いと？

So what I’m trying to say is I actually think I miss being called an alien if only because it makes sense.
Living in Japan I definitely feel like one sometimes.
But all joking aside I’m pretty sure I won’t get deported and it’s all going to go well.
Right now I'm actually very busy time.

In Japan the fiscal year and the school year ends in March and a new year starts in April, so right now it’s technically the year end although we’re 3 months into the year already.
It’s ending last year.
Yes so I wanted to say thank you for all of you awesome comments on my graduation video.
I’m so happy that so many people felt...um..like...motivated to give me comments because I’ve subscribed so many people that I love and I watch regularly but I never leave comments.

So I know what it’s like and I don’t expect people to everyone to always leave comments but it’s really awesome.
"Thanks for you guys to do" is what I’m trying to say.
So yeah that’s what’s going on lately and it’s kind of not interesting not very fun but it’s also part of Japan that everyone has to do with it.
It’s terrible. If you live in Japan and you have an alien registration card, you’ll be kind of cool if you make a video response and like show your… mine is gross.
