How’s it going?
I’m just moving into my new apartment and getting things sorted out in my new kitchen and it’s taking forever.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to show you the place soon.
If you don’t know I’m part of a group that’s making online Internet programs for Nestle Japan, so this video would be reviewing what we have done this week.
So we are here in 日暮里 which is famous for um…fabrics.

After some light shopping in日暮里, we stopped by 谷中district which is famous for having a very traditional Japanese feel.

まだ慣れてないんだよ
And lucky for us we were just in time to join the 盆踊りfestival.
Basically all the people all the local people in the area get together, wear 浴衣 and dance while someone bangs a 太鼓 drum.

I’m not very good at it, but you get the idea.
To be honest I didn’t think that it was possible to experience real Japan in Tokyo, but Tokyo has so much like personality.
There’s so many different places… contrasting places and it was really fun to see all those places and not just you know 原宿 渋谷 秋葉原 or whatever.
So I got to get…I got to keep unpacking…um…
