The movie series had me so excited for the sequel, I thought the first movie had some moments that definitely made me jump. I wish this movie had more creepy / scary moments. I would give it a 1/10 for scare. This movie really goes in depth and gives a back story for all the characters, which is cool, they even touch on the clowns past, which I wish they would have spent more time on. At times this movie was cheesy and really dragged on. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

Though he still had little to no screen time aside from helping break Henry out, that fast crawl he made from under the hospital bed to face Henry from close up, was wickedly awesome, and I think he deserved more as a zombie character. ? I know it was basically pennywise posing as Patrick's corpse and all but the director and producers should've green-lit more screen time for Owen Teague as zombie Patrick. I feel like most of these teens didn't know shit about the IT story at all lol. I love how they made this scene as trailer. It chapter two eddie death. The movie is good no doubt however I was confused what was the directors intent of classifying the genre of the movie. The movie reminded of the evil dead series and felt like a ripped version of the old series.

Nevertheless the movie is quite enjoyable. It chapter two stanley death. I dunno wht's worse... It chapter two release date. I'm a huge fan of Argento's original Suspiria (Goblin's original score omg) and I thought nothing could top it, BUT - as an also-longtime movie fan in general, I know that reboots are usually terrible. This one? Is not terrible. And it's due entirely to Tilda Swinton's performance. Somehow Dakota Johnson always manages to come off as a Mary Sue in whatever role she plays (not sure if that's a directing choice or just a result of her choices in performance) so she's annoying but at least she's capable. And Thom Yorke's score was just ethereal and terrifying. The director made some very interesting visual choices that - while very pretty - don't really do much except look pretty, for the most part, which is a shame, but I kinda miss movies like this one that are longer than 90 minutes and don't follow the standard boring formula beat for beat. I'm going to have to watch this a few more times to appreciate it fully (the ending is just a damp fart of a wtf and I still don't understand the point of the doctor's entire storyline except for padding and cheap heartstring tugging, which totally works) but I think this is going to wind up being one of my favorite films of this year (even though it came out last year lol.

Make no mistake despite the mixed reviews, this is an outstanding sequel, even superior to that of it's predecessor. There are so many wonderful touches installed in this film, the humanity, the giddy humour and the persuasive melancholy of who we are and our place in the world. There isn't a false note. Of course all the horror and insane creepiness is all still intact, bigger and bolder than before, some of the set pieces are inspiring. Yet even so, all this seems to take a backseat to what else is being conveyed here at times, in which the assembled cast admirably manage to put across. It could almost be considered an entrant for the Cinema Of Personal Expression in a minor way and in modern the French kissing CGI ghoul was slightly stretching the boundaries but apart from that everything looked and felt right in so far as the cruel, fun-house effect that the film strove for. It didn't reach perfection but I believe it achieved everything one could have hoped for in terms of a companion piece to the 2017 film. It's almost a shame that it's all ended but a grand exit in my opinion.

I wonder how just a silly movie can crack the box office. Gotta hand it to pennywise, he's a real showman with what he does. Taunting, snarling, his eyes and smile, line deliverance, twister-ing. It's awesome.
