Aditya Roy Kapoor, Disha Patani Advait (Aditya Roy Kapoor), a young introvert, visits Goa where he meets Sara (Disha Patani), a free-spirited girl from London who has come to India for the first time to live life unshackled, like a vagabond (Malang). Extreme opposites of each other, they both live it up together. All goes well until life turns upside down. Five years later, this incident circles back to SHO Agashe (Anil Kapoor), vigilante killer cop and Michael Rodrigues (Kunal Kemmu), a righteous cop. The movie starts off with a brutal fistfight in jail where the protagonist Advait Thakur (Aditya Roy Kapoor) bashes up a gang of inmates & the audiences feel wow, this will be one hell of a thriller. But alas, that is not to be. br> It is Christmas eve in goa and a trigger happy encounter specialist Agashe ( Anil Kapoor) receives a phone call from the protagonist intimating him about murders which he is about to commit. Since the victims are all policemen from another cop (Khemu's) team, both Anil Kapoor and Khemu go all out to catch the killer.
Why is the protagonist murdering policemen, that too on Christmas eve & Why does he want the encounter specialist to know about it forms the crux of the story. Kapoor as the protagonist, has a tragic love story with his lady love Disha Patani (oozing oomph in every scene. This runs as a flashback & in parallel to events happening in the present. One major flaw is that the flashback story is slow and has too many songs which slows down the narrative of the fast paced action happening in the present. The narrative is like a car that revs up from zero to 100mph and then suddenly comes down to zero the next moment. To again rev up to 100mph as the stories toggle between present and past. I could hear people yawning and taking an early loo break during the flashback scenes and songs. Anil Kapoor as the encounter specialist gives an awesome performance. Definitely the best of the lot. Kunal Khemu as an upright police officer gives a restrained performance. Decent job. Aditya Roy Kapoors hunky body might have the ladies drooling but as a protagonist he is the weakest link amongst the three male leads. Does not connect with the audience and leaves a lot to be desired. Patani is hot, sexy and a treat to the eye. Does a decent job in the acting department too. On the Music front, the title track is nice and hummable. Action scenes are decently shot. Direction by Mohit Suri is just about Ok. Verdict: The trailer had raised a lot of hopes about it being a twisted action thriller. However the weak storyline pulls it down and makes it an average film. Length of the film could have been pulled down by at least 20 mins. Watch at your own risk in the theatre might just get you on the Palang.Kinko kinko F2 ka intejaar he. Its good that this movie not got any remake song untill now ?. One like for Disha?. Not a great movie but not bad either. Good songs, scenic location, good acting and a decent story. If you have seen the trailer carefully you can predict the ending. Overall a good watch you won't be disappointed. One time watch for sure.

Kaafira toh chal diya iss Safar ke sang ???.Hrithik is the only hero who can steal all the limelight from others in any song he is in. Malang is a movie which starts fresh on an excitement path, but cripples at the end. The movie is thrill and dark. But if you watch movies regularly. You won't be happy with its ending. Good movie, could have been better. Recommendable. But obviously not for people who have tasted cinema at higher level.
Anil Kapoor and Kumal Khemu are best part of the movie.

I came here after watching D. I'm in love with her moves ??. This movie was something else man. Movie is well directed you all will be love with songs awsome direction first half just little boring bt then second half is total thrill. Kunal and anil excellent. Aditya stealing the show.Standard revenge flick. Nothing special story wise, predictable. Performances of main characters can be comended. Was drawn to see Aditya in an action role. Good opening sequence but didn't get much more in the rest. Final shot of the trailer gave away the last "surprise. After so many days, Bollywood has presented us a good crime thriller. It has romance, some good comedy and suspense. Really a must watch.
