The cinematography and production is very good. Good, scary atmosphere. Because the idea is good, it should have been more epic. instead, a movie that should have been a big hit and needs sequels, might nit get that chance. Turns out that it was actually time, money and effort well invested, because "Dark Light" turned out to be a rather enjoyable horror movie. What really worked was the way that director Padraig Reynolds had managed to capture the essence of the horror movies that I grew up with during the late 1980s and early 1990s. So this felt very much like a trip down memory lane for me. While the storyline was generic; especially for someone like myself having grown up watching just about every single horror movie that I could manage to get my hands on, then there was just something essentially right about this movie. The creature design was definitely interesting, and something that you haven't really seen in other movies.
