Edward James Olmos; On the morning of September 11, 2001, Fernando and his family in Mexico watch the news in horror as the Twin Towers collapse. His father, Balthazar, is an undocumented busboy on the top floor in the Windows on the World restaurant. Three weeks pass, and there is no word from Balthazar. No telephone calls, money orders, or hope that he is alive. As the family grieves, feeling the emotional and financial toll of their absent patriarch, Fernando's distraught mother swears she sees her husband on news footage - escaping from the building ALIVE. Heroic Fernando decides to take the epic journey from Mexico to New York City to find his father and save his family. Along the way, he finds love and befriends an eclectic group of international characters that help him restore his faith in humanity, as Fernando discovers the hard truths about his father, the melting pot of America, and the immigrant experience; release Year 2019; &ref(https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BMzIyMzkzN2ItZjBjOS00Mjg1LThmMGMtOTkxYzA2Mjc1MDFlXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTUyOTk5OTg@._V1_SY1000_CR0,0,629,1000_AL_.jpg); Duration 107 Minute; Director Michael D. Home Windows Browsers Web Browsers The World Browser Free Phoenix Studio Windows 2000/XP/Vista Version 2. 4. 0. 5 Full Specs Editors' Rating: Spectacular Average User Rating: out of 23 votes Editors' Review by /?February 19, 2009 After testing this sleek, straightforward browser, we were ready to get rid of our current, more popular browser, and make The World Browser our default. The user interface looks professionally designed, with self-explanatory command buttons at the top of the window. Below that are shortcuts to all of your bookmark categories. The interface can be customized to add or remove extra toolbars, but we liked the clean, uncluttered look of the default settings. Tiny navigational buttons make it easy to move through opened tabs. We especially liked the tab preview option for displaying all of your open tabs on one page. The browser's status bar has additional buttons that give you one-click access to your download manager, flash options, and tab positioning. The browser's Tools menu has the standard options, including those for cleaning traces and setting proxy options. The same is true of the familiar-looking View and Favorites menus. Our one complaint has to do with the Help feature, which has a link that takes you to the publisher's Web site, but it's currently under construction. When we found the Help file, it was not in English. The World Browser does have a new version that is available for download, but other than the Help issue, we can't think of one thing that we'd change from the version we tested. You can try and use this app at no cost, and you just might find you prefer it over some of the more well-known browsers currently on the market. What do you need to know about free software? Publisher's Description From Phoenix Studio: The World Browser is a tiny, fast, yet free, secure, and Web browser. It features a tabbed interface with multi-threaded frame browser. The World Browser is uses the Microsoft Internet Explorer engine. The World Browser 2. x has a new, multi-threaded window frame, which prevents the browser from freezing. Even if one Web page is unresponsive, the rest will not be affected. In developing The World Browser 2. x, we have rewritten and rebuilt all the codes and modules from version 1. x. The new framework is built to provide you with richer Internet browsing experience. The World Browser is in the Web Browsers category of the Browsers section. All Versions 3. 6 5 star 9 4 star 3 3 star 6 2 star 2 1 star Pros This browser has a lot of really good features. It doesn't have the wealth of add-ons/extensions like Firefox or Chrome, but I like it's user interface flexibility. Cons Although the user interface is very flexible with a lot of nice functions, it is very reminiscent of Internet Explorer 7 and 8, in style and in how terribly slow it is. According to my benchmarks Chrome and Opera are more than 10 times faster! Summary Nice many too slow to warrant a shift from other more popular browsers such as IE 9, Chrome, Opera, Firefox, and Safari. Pros Easy to browser in internet, one of the best, well protected the confidentiality data. It seems to display most websites properly. The program consumes only small amounts of memory and computer resources. Cons No cons at all, till this moment. Summary This browser is recommandable for all users.. Pros no comments Cons unable to uninstall Pros clean interface Cons fails to display some rows, eg, should display side-by-side Pros didn't have a chance to get to any pro Cons the only con was a cascade failure it caused when I tried to implement the world browser Summary I couldn't get it to load at all. I had to reboot my pc because IE9 started to overload with a cascade failure after I downloaded this and tried to run it. Pros The nice clean screen Cons It keeps doing it own thing and I cannot uninstall it. A real pain. Summary I don't like it because it just takes over. Maybe it just because I don't know how to config it but it is a lot of trouble, for me. Pros Very fast. Start up may have a clunk but its still faster than Firefox and Chrome. Cons It's missing some things like ad blocker. I also wish it had options for not remember history and send statics. Summary Like IE but faster. I would still prefer Chrome or Firefox though. Pros Good but not well known. Cons Not very well known. Summary This browser is fast a bit like Flock but it is not very well known. i went onto the browser website to download it because I did not want to download as a zip file. I chose normal download. The only thing I did not like was that some of the writing was in Japanese and the bookmarks displayed like folders and the appearence was quite is why although it is fast it only gets a 3 star rating. Updated on Sep 11, 2010 Since I last reviewed this browser I am using it again and I find there are not any problems with this regarding browsing, watching videos, downloading etc. The World Browser looks rather like Flock when you look at it's desktop icon. But Flock is a geko engine browser Mozilla based but The world browser is based on the Internet Explorer engine. As most readers know i hate Internet explorer itselfe because it is slow and crashes and unreliable. But other browsers based on it's engine that runs Internet Explorer seem to be a lot better and different Internet explorer that is much hated by most people who use the computer. The world browser has it's own features and and customisations of the browser that are very different to IE and has pop up blockers that you can enable or disable. you cannot always do this in Internet Explorer. The world is quite fast and browsers the web quickly. I previously complained about it appearence but you CAN change the theme. Updated on Sep 11, 2010 The world browser is a good alternative to using Internet Explorer and usful for sites that look better in IE mode but it is good for all types of web tasks. The world has not been updated since last year 2009 but it works okay and it plays all types of videos even Facebook videos, which run on a different flash player. Although the world browser is made for Windows Xp, 2000 and Vista it works well on Windows 7 which is what I have. Which is good new for anyone wanting this browser and also it works well so you would not know it does not have the Geko engine if you did not look at the info. on the browser website. So it seems this browser can be used on all types of Windows computer including Windows 7. Pros Very light interface, clean easy to use at a glance Cons It seems to use whatever IE add-on devices you have but doesn't take full advantage of them. I, couldn't get Windows Media Player to work in it at all and had problems with flash player as well. Summary Its a great little browser for things like checking the weather from the weather service or reading the newspaper online and things like that, it falls down in the category's of streaming video and most multimedia applications I, tried. I, could imagine many people using this application and loving it, it doesn't hog resources up and seemed to run some things much faster then Internet Explorer but, for my internet uses it falls short since I, like to run video or listen to streaming music and video and the program seems to have problems with that. The other problem I, have is that while I, use Firefox The World only wants to use Microsoft updates, plugins, etc. so if your going to use it you need to update your IE or you'll crash and burn over and over. In summary for the price (its FREE! ) its worth a try it does work but its not for everybody! Pros The Browser add features good. Cons I dislike some of its functionality. show reviews Full Specifications What's new in version 2. 5 Version 2. 5 fixes the problem with TheWorld Downloader. Windows on the world. Beautiful?. Windows on the World, despite the fact that it takes place in the weeks following the 9/11 terrorist attack in New York, is a film that is urgently for our time. It is a hero's journey of a son trying to find his father in that grief-stricken landscape and the characters stand in for the millions of immigrants, legal and illegal, who contribute in their everyday lives, to the American landscape. The film seeks to counter the narrative that's all-too-prevalent in today's political and media landscape by telling a story set in America's biggest and most diverse city, at its darkest time. The script by playwright and novelist Robert Mailer Anderson (who also produced the film) is wise and completely engaging; he creates indelible characters who are ultimately inspiring and uplifting. Edward James Olmos gives what he considers to be the performance of a lifetime, and the rest of the cast is terrific as well-with a special shout-out to Glynn Turman. The direction, by Olmos's son Michael, is sure-handed, getting terrific performances from his cast, including his father, in this father-son story, and it's beautifully lensed. The music, including jazz and a title track written by Anderson, is pitch-perfect, supporting the story without getting in the way. This film should be seen by everybody-and I'm sure it will be in mainstream distribution soon, as this is a time when, although the major studios may have turned their backs on substance, terrific indie films like this one have many other possible venues. If you can't see it at a film festival, like I did, keep a keen eye out for it. Terrific and inspiring.
I was saying this years ago. A sex and death cult. Great to hear you two. I was attacked for years, a decade, for telling the climate camp gang that they were a cult. One of the bisexual feminist leaders crazily walked across the protest lines and pointed me out to be violently arrested. Noone else noticed or cared. The whole environmental movement is run by the secret societies / secret state. Noone listened. They just kept bullying me. I saw it all in 2007. The local authorities, drug rehabs, libraries, all run by these people. Pumping out dark propaganda. My allotment is the same. They worship the BBC, mental. Thanks, a relief to hear it all. People are in a trance.
Windows on the world 911 call. My old friend Ahmed (we talked about co-authoring a book) is quite wrong about making an association between Ak and Moses. The chronology of the Exodus rules it out completely, as my book 'Where Moses Stood' details. The Talmud does refer to Moses as a King, but this is a fictitious story and even then only talks about Moses becoming a King in Ethiopia, but not arriving there as one.

" Thus begins Beigbeder's gripping apocalyptic novel, which takes place on September 11, 2001 - the date on which New York realtor Carthew Yorston has taken his seven- and nine-year-old sons for a long-promised breakfast at the eponymous eatery atop the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Alternating with Smith's narration is the voice of Beigbeder himself - or a thinly disguised version of the French author - musing about the tragedy one year later over his own breakfast in Le Ciel de Paris, on the 56th floor of the Tour Montparnasse, the tallest building in Paris. Each chapter of the novel represents one minute on that fateful morning, from 8:30 to 10:29; nearly all are less than three pages, and several prove startling in their brevity ("In the Windows, the few remaining survivors intone Irving Berlin's 'God Bless America' (1939)"). Both men riff on everything from trivia to politics and make often poignant philosophical observations. Abundant doses of gallows humor at once add levity and underscore the drama. Yorston's overheard snatches of fatuous cell-phone conversations, for example, would be funny in another context, while the enforced exit of a cigar-smoking guest at Windows on the World "thereby proves that a cigar can save your life. " Though some readers may be put off by this novel's subject matter, Beigbeder invests his narrators with such profound humanity that the book is far more than a litany of catastrophe: it is, on all levels, a stunning read. Windows on the world restaurant new york. Windows on the world hilton head. That last part after he said “its the best job, I love it, I hope Im gonna retire from here” as he looks into the city and the camera turns into the city as well, gave me the coldest most saddest and chilling case of the chills. The last ever recording about this poor familys father, son, uncle that is no longer in existent. Even though the family saw him daily, this was sad to see as well as the reporter who uncomforted remembered about the interview with the “window cleaner” such a suddenly most gruesome death for such a modest job and loved man. A research showed not one piece or clue about this man was ever recovered. His faith and death would lay with those of a thousand more who where crushed, burned then pulverized into a million pieces if not airborn particles, before the wind carried them along with the dust in the midst of the breeze and into its surroundings. Only to have left their poor human fluids imprinted in the soil debris and rubble. This is extremely sad to see.

Wow its sad that haw this happed good memoryes. I complained to the BBC about David Attenboroughs programme on the BBC which had Michael Mann and Greta Thunberg on but not Roy Spencer, Judith Curry or anyone who doesnt agree with the hockey stick graph. I will be continuing with this complaint, all the way to ofcom if necessary. Windows on the world london. I'm still all ears on this but was slightly surprised the london protest went on for 10 days! all the 20 years of protest i'd been on were over by sun set. when i asked the police why they are letting the protest go on all they could say was 'orders from above. it was good that it went on, made for a grand time in sunny London but felt slightly eerie. why did the orders from above take 10 days. I wonder if he was cleaning the windows when the plane hit so he died instantly.
Those buildings will be missed, but the new World Trade Center is still very beautiful.
