That feeling when a live action movie is less realistic than a cartoon. There's a shape shifting bird woman and a phoenix, and people are running on walls like it's crouching tiger hidden dragon or some shit. Also, how she is able to pass as a dude in a war-camp for more than 10 seconds is beyond me. Looks and sounds like a chick. Even given the more feminine traits you usually see in a lot of Asian people. I don't understand why they're not spending this money on something new and original, instead of ridiculing their original movies and their fans. At the very least, if they were gonna remake Mulan in live action, they could atleast give us a PG13+ version that would fit the legend properly. This is all my personal pov and opinion, of course.

Mulan (2020) No. Not this time. 1:25 you can see the pure love in Mulan's eyes she has for her father that finally pushed her to sacrifice everything and risk her life for him and her family. I have to say though realistically this was a stupid move. If her father died they could have retained family honour. if she died and they will find out she's a family honour would be ruined. Still though I love how disney did their homework and captured perfectly, how deep east Asians value filial piety.
