A taciturn loner and skilled cook (John Magaro) has traveled west and joined a group of fur trappers in Oregon Territory, though he only finds true connection with a Chinese immigrant (Orion Lee) also seeking his fortune; soon the two collaborate on a successful business, although its longevity is reliant upon the clandestine participation of a nearby wealthy landowner’s prized milking cow. From this simple premise Reichardt constructs an interrogation of foundational Americana that recalls her earlier triumph Old Joy in its sensitive depiction of male friendship, yet is driven by a mounting suspense all its own. Reichardt again shows her distinct talent for depicting the peculiar rhythms of daily living and ability to capture the immense, unsettling quietude of rural America.

I live in Texas where the cows are always outside and I've never seen cows so happy. My dad had cows on his farm after he retired from the Air Force and they are such sweet animals when treated with kindness. 
I know its just a joke but just think the money that a movie like this would make. Texting, Videotaping is a new one on the atv, ???? Motionpro Is the small investment goes a long way. Think spring. Id rather get murdered by a doll than watch this all the way through. Its sad to see that theres no one on the couch now. I want honestly anticipating some sort of chilling shift to show that it was a horror movie. You like separating mothers from their childs, and then exploiting them for their milk, and finally murdering them. First cow movie. In this current atmosphere of Hate being spread by the President, we need to stop trying to forgive every body who is not on our side. Hollywood is always glorifying this type of stuff. I'll have to pass on this movie.

Was expecting the trailer to take a dark turn of some sort towards the end. but no. First cow synopsis. His voice going trying to talk about his brother was heartbreaking... Sorry sis, can't control a calf forever. I am 100% sure the horses wouldn't have done anything to her as well.
