I just watched the movie and it is AWESOME! I hope people appreciate it as it is. I enjoyed every minute of it. There were even moments in the movie where Ewan looked and even sounded like Jack Nicholson in the Shining. Truly a masterpiece.

This movie did total justice to the legacy of the Shining and the Overlook Hotel. I was covered in goosebumps from the moment Dan stepped inside the Overlook. Such a great film. You could really feel the atmosphere.

I love how its still a sequel to Kubricks film, and not just on the books timeline. Awesome movie-watched The Shining last night as a warm up then saw Doctor Sleep today. Great as a double feature. A+ one of the best sequels ever. All the actors in this film did a great job. Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson gave solid performances, but this young actress was absolutely amazing. She killed the role.

It's so nostalgic and sad. I made sure to pre-order this movie and i finally have it! I freaking love Abra and Dan so much, this movie is a perfect sequel to an old classic. Well done, Mike Flanagan. Danny, that's your name, isn't it? No it's General Kenobi. I love how The Shining coordinates with Doctor Sleep! Two completely different plots, but it connects back with the protagonist! Very well done.
The astral proyection part in the movie was so beautiful. So here they are again, at the bar. The book was great. Really hope this movie is consistent.
