I was never a fan of the original, i've tried all the later 'cuts' but it still leaves me cold. So surprisingly this wowed me. This is awe-inspiring film, beautiful; and so enigmatic.

On a technical level, it gets Zimmer fresh from his Dunkirk star turn to produce a stunning, intimidating score. And Roger Deakins' cinematography is stunning, but it just always is. I love the nods to the original - the Pan Am and Atari street neon in particular. Like the director's recent Arrival, this appeals to our intellect as well as to our sense of adventure. The film deals with love, memory, reality and identity in a probing and though-provoking way. Not everything works. Some of the sci-fi movie seems very clunky and dated, perhaps because so much has imitated it over the years? Harrison Ford's returning Deckard, is a bit too returning Solo. But Gosling gives another soulful and intelligent performance - he's a consistent gem for me.

One of the greatest if not the best science fiction movie I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. People who cant watch a movie without an explosion going off every 5 minutes really shouldnt have an opinion on movies. Thats why movies like this fail. It somehow always manages to attract the wrong type of audience. What did you think about Blade Runner 2049? Whats your favorite sequel of all time. No airbags. Something Luv either didn't account for. or knew and activly welcomed. K was built to HUNT replicants. Luv up until that time had always fought from a position of superiority. She alwaysfought from a position of advantage, and here K was, battered and tired and beaten. but still doing the exact job he was made and trained for that he has done countless times. I personally tink Luv welcomed it. Someone that would finally make her stop having to follow wallace's orders.
Love the art of the static shots in this film. Not a lot of camera movement. Everything is like a composed photograph. Very misunderstood in today's frenetic filmmakers. Best Ridley Scott film. In my top 5 best films ever. Can not wait for Blade Runner 2049 tho ?. If you want to see someone stab a man in the back and chain another and hook another, even though he is "supposed to be" a "replicant" or a robot, this is the film for you. The writer/director/producer and every other contributor to this utter piece of trash buys into the notion that the gender roles should be females are all powerful (like an assassin or the police chief has to be female) and males should be reduced to the level of robots/order takers designed to serve female desires for any type of sexual perversion (even the female holograph tells the man when she wants sex) blood lust, and subjugation of others. I watched this overlong, tedious, and boring film for about 2.5 hour (it runs for almost 3) and decided that I have much better ways to spend my time than this misandrist trash.
Omg Eggsy is so cute ?????? Lol. These scene is absolutely stunning to me and every shot is incredible. K getting out of his spinner gives me goosebumps. The fighting in the dark while being splashed with water and lit up only buy a few neon bulbs is so damn well done. The claustrophobia is real. The synths of the music washing over you in conjunction with the waves is another brilliant touch. 2:14 Wallace is an awesome villain he really believes replicants are his children yet he's cruel enough to sacrifice his own children for his cause.
I wish I can see it again in IMAX. or at least in a large 2D hall. When the tears started to flow from my eyes in the final scene of BR2049, I knew I was watching something else, a sequel that's not follow the pattern that most sequels follow. I agree with every point you highlight, and I'm convinced that is one of the most amazing movies ever made. Great video, you have a new subscriber. Were* green. This has to be the most convincing CGI ever produced. I was like HOW. 6:15 Why did THIS specific memory end up in K? If I recall correctly, it's strongly implied in the film that the memory maker Ana Stelline gave that memory to all Nexus-9 replicants. Cinemasins you said youve seen miracles like 10 times but I feel like you dont even understand what the word ‘miracle means, given the fact that you think almost everything has gone wrong with blade runner 2049 while many of us takes it a ‘Miracle sequel in the history of cinematography. There you have to give yourself a 2nd thought.

Whenever I watch even a clip bsck of 2049... Just the score alone brings me the chills. Br 2049 is simply haunting and stunning. A wonderful reimagining of a sequel.

Top 5 sci-fi movie of all time. The love scene with joi and the scenes at the old casino are some of the most stunning visuals ever. What can I say; the movie was excellent. Incredibly well done visual and sound design, backed with good acting and an interesting yet "familiar" tale of humanity; classic good versus evil, with a distinctly dark view of humanity. To me it speaks most clearly as a warning of a potentially dangerous path to the future, led through technology, with the idea of man playing God in an age where our values have been led astray. Not sure if that made sense, but what the hell. great movie. Everything Wrong with Blade Runner 2049: There is nothing Wrong with Blade Runner 2049.

It's age restricted??. Witnessing this on Imax was the best movie experience I had in my life, loved this movie.
