Insallah bu kadar büyük beklentinin altında ezilmezler ufuk bayraktarın oyunculuğuna süphe yok ama senaryo çok daha önemli. But I'm subtracting points because I found the plot insulting. I think the actors, director, production crew, and editors did a professional job, no one is going to win an Academy Award, but they did a professional job. I also think the screenplay writer did a good. But why present the movie as historical fiction? Replacing the actual male hero of the true account with a completely fictional female character? Why lie to the audience?

Also, the idea that ANYONE could climb to the top of a balloon above 30,000 feet is absolutely absurd. In reality the real hero, his hands black with frostbite, used his teeth to pull open the diaphragm. I get the theatrical appeal of climbing the balloon. But why make it a woman that does it, except perhaps to pander to this Captain Marvel fantasy about girl power? I find this movie insulting to the truth. Bill it as a fantasy period movie. But NOT as historical fiction.

It's a top notch film, made watchable and more interesting by the film makers' use of a composite of female pilots for Amelia's character. Pay no attention to all of the misogynistic reviews pretending to care about historical inaccuracies, since they don't seem to mind women's accomplishments being repeatedly erased from actual history not just works of art; their concerns about THIS work of fiction (it's not a documentary) amount to a pile of nonsense trying to skew IMDb's algorithms. If you are in the mood for a period piece with great style, visuals, and acting, give The Aeronauts a whirl.
