This is the movie where FENIMISM GETS REAL not in movies like veere di wedding. Just now I came from theater and started searching for the villain. Really you nailed it. Plz react on (moose wala )songs. I luv his songssssss. Who is here after making start of part 2. Any one noticed the background music ???? its amazing ??.

I couldn't agree more Anupama ma'am, having said that I did like the work of all the characters in the film but being a theatre student i did think that the format that is was a little mixed up between the choice of format in mardaani 1 and joker. Similarly, as you did I felt like it could have been more on the representational side rather than presentational side because I felt that worked more for me the last time. In this movie I was just scared unlike the last movie it did give me the hope of smashing some asses. Although this movie did make me realize that there are multiple things going on like Shivani has to prove her capability to work, there is a patriachy that's running with in the police station and that how she being a super cop can't figure out that some random guy invaded her home and came in her workplace. I felt like here the question was that are we doing enough with the criminals or not? rather than being certain of punishing the people. ??.

The story starts off super nice with a mystery for SP Shivani Roy to solve. She, with her expertise starts building a case and of course the story also takes into account the image of women not only in the current society but also the perception many of the officers in the police force also have (Shekhawat. The villain, an exhibitionist makes sure he draws SP's attention and keeps at her toes. I am here after watching kapil Sharma episode clip

Having said this, the story started off really well. But got hijacked by emotional content. Emotional content to the extent that it was a morally correcting film than a factual one. Added to that, the background score was more of a "long live Indian police theme" than of a good murder mystery thriller movie. Rani Mukerji as usual, a good actor, delivered her best. The negative character was brilliant. Story could have been structured better. The moral part could have come later in the film with a good police-villian chase (with which it initially started but got hijacked by moral policing.

However, sadly, the opposite is true for the protagonist's role. The way she resolves the incidents are too simple. Could have been more technical rather than just following hunch. The movie will feel good from the emotional perspective. However, that's not all and better content would have been rather appreciated.

He's a serial rapist cum killer... a psycho so godamn demented, the guy was responsible for killing his own mom. Egad! Frequently breaking the fourth wall to provide us insights on his devious mind, the villain of Mardaani 2 - a small time juvenile fiend - appears to give tough competition to even Batman's Joker. And this is the films biggest fallacy. C'mon guys, do u expect us to believe a kadka lukha teenage guy can break in to a top cop's home, threaten a minister of the state and actually go to the extent of kidnapping and tormenting his relative. Nah! It's too unbelievable to be true. Precisely, the villain of Mardaani 2 ends up being that. A super villain who can be possibly vanquished by an Avenger! Only here we have top cop Shivani Shivaji Roy (Rani Mukerjee, impressive) on his trail. Fighting misogyny within her department and finding enough time to appear on prime time television to offer a sermon on women empowerment, Shivani gets cracking on the seemingly impossible case. Will she crack it on her own? Written and directed by Gopi Puthran, the film is admittedly relevant today where we have so many rape cases in the news. Nirbhaya's juvenile killer was let off mildly and given some social benefits as per the archaic Indian law. Bah! Of the cast, Vishal Jethwa is outstanding as the menacing rapist who can go to any length to satisfy his ego and sexual urge. A super debut, no doubt! At little less than two hours of run time, Mardaani 2 is worth a watch for primarily two reasons. One for tackling the sensitive subject of rape and secondly, for bettering the first part.
