This is a remarkable story of a man's redemption and those who made it possible through courage and love. There are elements, including the name of the central character and an ironic twist that would seem like artifacts of a writer's mind, but they were not- real people, the events that happened to them, and how they chose to respond to those events, provided a story that called out to be told. Writer/director Andrew Heckler does an amazing job telling the story and the cast is terrific.

Thanksgiving as a Stay At Home MGTOW (SAHM) So as a scientist, I feel it was necessary to call myself on my bullshit assumptions, as I constantly state that women serve zero purpose, much less value, in a man's life. So listening to feminists flap their cunt lips for years about "unpaid domestic work" and "emotional labor" and all their other noises, just how difficult is it? Now as a Stay At Home MGTOW, I feel I'm ideally positioned to determine that answer. So I took advantage of how I celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. For those of you who aren't American, Thanksgiving is a celebration day where we celebrate the murder of many animals and a three day work week, and try to maximize our fat stores for the harsh winter. Now I do it on Wednesday instead of traditional Thursday. Why? Fuck you that's why. That way Thanksgiving is just leftovers and no work, no cleaning, none of that nonsense. Which is funny because I do all this alone and for me unless a friend has just been tossed out with divorce papers. So since I'm having it Wednesday, I do prep on Tuesday. I put together a seven dish menu: Turkey Mashed potatoes Herbed Stuffing Green bean casserole Broccoli and cheese Cranberry sauce Rolls Nothing complicated. Nor requiring much work. I realize this might not be other's tastes, I like it how I like it. Naturally I slept in this morning, and once I woke up hungover I hit the market around 12:30. I'll just pretend I had to make some vaginal turds lunch or take it to school or something. So I spent an hour at market. The actual "shopping" spent about 20 minutes as I'm efficient. I spent the next 40 minutes downloading movies and podcasts as I don't have wifi and just steal theirs for my entertainment media. And drink their coffee. So, 1:30pm Time to get busy. Taking a cue from noted feminist Emma Watson, I'm now claiming to be "self-partnered" so my bread winning partner, me, will be back at 5pm, so I need to somehow do all this massive work. and take care of young child that is still living at home. Step 1, Champagne Naturally before a meal you need an apéritif, which is generally a dry cocktail or champagne, with some canapés. I'm not a savage for God's sake, but I did Autumn it up by mixing it with some hard holiday cider, because why not? I will be sampling all through out this as I prep. Step 2 Cranberry sauce My man deserves better when he dines than that purple canned shit, so I make a simple syrup and cranberries, with some orange and lemon zest. Boil the syrup, add the cranberries, boil them until they pop. The reason I do that first, is that it is an extremely easy cooking vessel to clean, and hot water is enough to prepare it for the next step, as there is no chunks of burned anything. So a quick rinse to melt the sugar off and it's ready for a future step. Step 3, Green bean casserole I also got a couple of aluminum bread pans, as they're easy and deep to set up for the oven and disposable. I cut up some fresh green beans, add some mushroom soup, some milk, some dried onions, in the pan and get it all ready for later. Top with more dried onions. Now some will ask why as they'll get soggy. Exactly. They'll absorb some flavors and then when baked will dry back out making a more flavorful crisp topping. This is all mixed and prepped and put in the fridge. More champagne needed of course, and check the baby bro, who has done absolutely nothing. Hardly surprising. I posted about this idiot I'm burdened with. A mint plant was a way easier companion. But I'll pretend to feed him or nurse him or whatever you do with a baby as a woman, I suspect drinking box wine. Step 4, Mashed potatoes Re-using the cleaned cranberry sauce pot, I cut up and boil potatoes. I'd normally do this with Yukon Gold, but there was a sale on Russet, so I'm boiling 5 lbs. of them. You get about 2 cups of mashed potatoes from 3 potatoes, so there will be leftovers which is the goal. All the potatoes won't fit which is good. And I know what you're asking, "is this ponce making whipped potatoes", and of course I'm not. I make smashed potatoes, not whipped. and I don't peel them. The peels have all the nutrients and minerals, so I include them. I also like them lumpy in case I get bored and make a miniature of Devil's Mountain, so it's more realistic. By boiling them with some on top not covered, you get a range of consistencies. The ones at the bottom will be softer and smash well, the ones up top will be firmer, and as they boil the softening makes everything get boiled to various degrees. Just a personal preference. Time for some additional reddit shit posting, which I'll pretend is putting a baby down or whatever mothers do all day long. Step 5, Chores Did some laundry and put away stuff from the dryer. I'm just so overwhelmed while I sit around letting potatoes boil, so I drink another bottle of champagne. And shit post some more. Drain, butter and garlic, and start mashing the potatoes. Put on a Bill Burr Monday Morning Podcast out of boredom. Since I'm making these earlier, you need lots of extra butter and milk, so when reheated it'll heat smooth. Now that's done and ready for tomorrow, what else? Step 6, Turkey Now I don't buy thawed turkeys, I buy frozen ones. I find that they have a softer texture due to cell burst, but maybe I'm just reacting to their brining. Whatever. Don't really care. It works for me due to the way I do this meal. It's thawing in the sink. Eventually the skin will be soft enough to separate from the meat. This is necessary to slather the in-between skin and meat area with butter and herbs to give some nice moistness. You shove sticks of butter under the skin, and I'll put a little Herbes de Provence on it. Then remove the giblet bag, mix the stuffing (bread chunks) with herbs, onions, and celery. That'll go in the icy frozen center, with some more sticks of butter. Cap it with a lemon for fun, that I zested earlier for the cranberries. In case you think today is a high keto health day, you would be wrong. The turkey will still need to be prepped, so it needs to thaw until evening. Step 7, Clean everything. So let's see. I've used one pot a couple times, one large spoon. A knife for chopping. A zester Everything prepped and put away. Wash everything. Sink is clear. Didn't even get to push buttons on the dishwasher. Step 8, Turkey part deux I'm lazy, so I just set the timer on the oven when the turkey is ready and just stick its ass in there. It's timed to be done around when I eventually wake up, so at some point in the middle of the night it'll fire up, cook, and slow cool down. It's still slightly frozen right now, so it'll have a nice slow ramp up in temperature, maintain, then get a slow decrease. The external heat will crisp the skin, while slowly roasting the interior. I'll pull it, then put in the uncooked prepped things, as they take about 30 minutes, warm the rolls, the temperature decrease will have slowly reabsorbed the juices in the bird, and the rest will just be steaming some broccoli, making some cheese sauce, and that's it. Can't make that in advance. Use pan drippings for gravy, which will just be in the roasting pan and deglazed on the stove top burners. So kitchen is back to how I started, it's 4:45pm and my self-partner is bringing home the bacon, and no doubt that freak will want to watch tentacle trap porn and have sex with me. The horrors of being a stay at home MGTOW. Analysis & Conclusion Let's see. I slept in, or alternately got up early and did all the basic chores and baby spider management. Went to market, bought stuff, downloaded movies, prepped an entire 7 item meal, managed to multitask chores, cleaning the kitchen, taking care of a furry baby, did laundry, put the kitchen back together, and was done 3 hours and 15 minutes later with a nice champagne buzz and I barely did an hour of actual work making the meal for tomorrow and several days of leftovers. Now I just have movies to watch, have sex with myself as a SAHM to keep my man happy. In several hours I'll spend 30 minutes stuffing a turkey then pressing some buttons on an oven. Tomorrow more of the same. Apparently house wives do have it hard. I realize I can't emulate a crying baby, but then women also don't use duct tape. Bunch of whiners. How hard this is, I really should go back to doing a "career" since I hate having total control of my life and home. Let my furry baby be raised by other people that maybe passed a background check, spend no time bonding with it, and I cannot possibly be fulfilled doing this with my child like mind. I demand hourly compensation for being a slave to my self-partner. He's so cruel and evil. I bet he''ll get drunk tonight and do nasty things and hurt my feelings when I look in the mirror.
