I saw jim morrison in 1992 on the corner of Hollywood blvd and Highland sitting on a bus bench singin baby light my fire all out of tune like a crazy person trying to remember his own past it was around 1130 at night on a hot summer night all wrapped up in blankets w a big beard and i swear to God when i saw this person he resembled an old homeless Jim Morrison Sad But Trippy at the Same time that he did not Die in Paris like they all say... Nice!? The Doors forever. I agree in so much as that I'm glad that the music hasn't been licensed for use on commercials but to perform it live was just as much Ray & Robby's right as the rest of the band. I count myself lucky that we had the opportunity over the past couple of years to see them perform. The last show we went to we got to meet them backstage. It was a high honor. That surely sums up being between 15-25 when all this great 60's music was made. I have seen many bands from this era but only when they are at the veteran stage, The Stones, Who, Pink Floyd, CSN, Fairport Convention, Incredible String Band. I was born in 1965 but would not have minded being born 20 years earlier. I work with a woman who was born in 1950 and she said that you could go out on the town most nights and there would be at least one great band to see. These days you wait ages for tours and then get charged 50-80 for the privilege of doing so.
