Speaking of impressive, there¡Çs a young kid who kills it in his fight scene early in the flick. I¡Çd have given the film another star if they¡Çd given that the kid one more fight. The only good thing about this film is the choreo fighting.. A sort of remake of the 1978 film of the same name. It actually has no relation to the original or Bruce Lee. The only Bruce Lee reference is that the protagonist is a fan of Bruce Lee. They don't fight the same, & Donnie Yen definitely did not wear the yellow suit but he did use nunchucks. Its just a tribute to the legend. Every year, during Jan-Feb, we get a lot of silly ass films for the Chinese New Year. These films are family friendly. Filled with lame jokes. Its themes often revolve around "reinventing" yourself. And its rarely taken seriously. Enter the Fat Dragon is one of these films. Beberapa hal yang harusnya membuat kita simpati malah dibuat komedi yang awkward sehinggga bingung antara simpati atau tersenyum. Komedinya juga terasa seperti khas film karya Wong Jing, yang penuh slapstick dan kekanak kanakan (bagi yang belum terbisa). Untuk aksinya cukup oke dan keren. Cuma ngebayangin kira kira ada aktor aksi yang memang sebenarnya overweight bukan kostum? Dari segi skenario termasuk simple dan tidak ada yang spesial dari cerita atau pengembangan karakter.
