Como la saga Riddick o El último cazador de brujas, Bloodshot no destila originalidad, ideas grandiosas ni subtramas laberínticas (aunque a mitad de metraje se reserva un interesante giro argumental), pero es entretenida y tiene una lograda dirección de arte y una puesta en escena contundente. Las tomas de combate y las coreografías de peleas no resultan súper innovadoras, pero el director rescata recursos y tópicos de los videojuegos para dotar a las secuencias más extremas de realismo y vértigo, con buenos efectos visuales y un montaje vertiginoso que nunca decae en ritmo. En un mercado dominado por las franquicias, los héroes enmascarados, las secuelas y las remakes, el desembarco de Bloodshot con sus limitaciones y por momentos olor a refrito, termina resultando una bocanada de aire fresco. Un espectáculo fílmico de tono retro que resulta un viaje en el tiempo a las épocas del cine en continuado y las salas de barrios. Con esta saga que promete continuar, Vin Diesel termina de acomodarse en el altar de los referentes del músculo y las balas, una zona en la que convive con próceres intocables, como Chuck Norris, Van Damme, Stallone y Schwarzenegger. His dialogue lies somewhere between tuba and incoherent. So, I suppose this role is in his wheelhouse. There's no explanation of why he has a career, and there's no explanation of anything in this movie. There isn't a single character in this movie that is likeable or unique. Somewhere Alfred Molina is saying, "Hey! Wait just a minute! " Even the nanites were irritating. The fight scenes are CGI heavy, giving the editing department ample opportunity to confuse the viewer with as many fast cuts as they could squeeze into a few seconds. I wholeheartedly regret purchasing this movie and asking my 16 and 13 year old kids to watch it with me. I turned to them when it was over and apologized.
