Download free blood on her name book. Hello, and I'm sorry A salutation and a farewell I don't have much time. If this were a movie, I would ride off in some blood red sunset down a stretch of desert road into the wasteland that keeps us captive here. But this isn't a movie, these are the Badlands. Artist: Halsey Album: Badlands | Alternate Cover Tracklist and Lyrics: Genius Release Date: August 28, 2015 r/popheads [FRESH] Thread: Here Listen: Album Trailer | Apple Music | Spotify | YouTube Hi, and welcome to my writeup! I'm your resident friendly Halsey-stan and Badlands is my favorite album of the 10's! It's also Halsey's favorite, so she has taste. I've previously done write-ups on S. O. S., Ghost and Room 93, if you want to check out any of those! Badlands is an electro-pop or if your name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, "alternative" album, made by Halsey and executively produced by her boyfriend at the time, Lido. The album itself is a "concept album", centered around the Dystopian society Badlands - all a metaphor for Halsey's mental state at the time of writing the album. Now, this album is excellent musically, but what really made this my FAVORITE of the decade, was the marketing campaign surrounding it (also the fact that I managed to see her both at the beginning and end of 2016 - go see her @ the Manic tour, her music is at its best live. ) It truly felt like a moment and I don't think anything can top it for me. If you remember Harry Styles' Eroda-marketing campaign from a couple months ago, it was something like that - just better (through my nostalgia-tinted glasses, at least). Much of the "concept" part of the concept album was just visible through the marketing. First came the website - (of which I managed to find a single archived picture). There was also the touristy twitter account @VisitBadlands, which posted cryptic tweets related to the album release. There was a tourist phone number you could call, complete with a creepy message from Halsey herself. She gave out passports with tips of how to survive in the Badlands (the answer: Keep Running). She even "leaked" the album cover through the twitter account, and played small snippets of Young God on the website. It also doubled up as her merch store and the place she dropped her first set of tour dates. Halsey used this marketing campaign to "leak" a version of Coming Down, through a soundcloud account called BadlandsRadio. She also sent some free posters and stickers to her fans to promote the record. There were treasure hunts, having people run all over New York and taking them to the places in New York that inspired Badlands - the prizes were all access backstage passes to the final show of the tour. Basically, the whole era was really interactive and I don't think fans would have connected with the album as well as we did, without it. An important part of this album, regardless of how much you like or dislike it, was the 'era' it was produced in - the TumblrTM era. Everything from the lyrics, the aesthetics, the production points to Badlands being THE tumblr record. Not necessarily the most widely enjoyed album by Tumblr users, but it's the most Tumblr-esque of them all. It's very much a post-Pure Heroine and Born To Die-album. Halsey stood out with her long, blue hair and rants about feminism and racism and also literally everything else. So, now that I've talked way too much about the era as a whole, I'm gonna break down the full record as individual songs: Already choking on my pride, so there's no use crying about it. This shimmery piece of electropop opens up Badlands. It serves as an introduction to the Dystopian society of Badlands. Halsey immediately sets the tone for a struggle between her, the hero, and the (patriarchal) society around her. There's a mention of "they" wanting to make her their queen, which combined with the quoted lyrics above and the chants of "Agnus Dei" makes it clear that being the queen isn't something Halsey wants - it's a sacrifice she's making. This song was later turned into an orchestral version for the "Huntsman: Winter's War"-movie. I sold my soul to a three-piece, and he told me I was holy. The story continues in Hold Me Down, which was inspired by Halsey's dealings with men in the music industry - specifically Atlantic Records' Publishing Group, which tried to sign her. It also samples Easy by Son Lux. She refers to the men she's dealing with as the devil, again setting herself up to be a hero in the Badlands. At the same time she admits her flaws, calling herself selfish, filled with demons and spineless. Because of this, she lets herself be held down by the devil. Survival of the richest, the city’s ours until the fall. If you have heard just a single song off of this album, this is probably the one. This song, along with the impromptu Blink-182 mall cover are go-to "easy" punches for Halsey Haters. They argue it's faux-edgy, faux-anthemic, shallow and just plain annoying. The backlash against this song even resulted in Halsey dis-owning if for like 2 full years, and calling it "ironic" (which it most definetly wasn't). While I get why this song could rub some people wrong, I would argue that it's a very catchy song and that the lyrics aren't "faux"-anything - they're so earnest that it borders on painful. The lyrics may be cringey, but it won't stop me from yelling along to the song while driving in my car. The first verse talks about the nouveau rich, getting famous through the internet, while the second verse talks about gay marriage - which was made legal in all states just two small months before this album dropped. It's a song about believing in the youth and believing that society can change. Sick and full of pride, all we do is drive. Drive is a pretty straightforward love song about being in love with someone, but not knowing how to go about it. The strength of the song lies in its production and the beautiful harmonization between Halsey and the male backing vocals provided by Lido. The production creates a beautiful backdrop for a simple love story - the sound of Halsey turning on the ignition, the turn signal-beat, the swerving noises, it all contrast with the simple guitar plucking. If you close your eyes while listening to this, you can feel you're in the car watching a very intimate story play out. Halsey described this as one of the few happy songs on Badlands, saying it's the point in the story where she finally leaves the Badlands. Don't belong to no city, don't belong to no man. This song was originally included on Halsey's debut EP, Room 93, and was carried over onto the deluxe edition of Badlands. It's a self-empowerment anthem about Halsey taking power in her relationship with both a person (Zach, the boy behind bricks) and the city she lived in, New York City. Whenever she does this song live she explains that the song is " a reminder that you do not belong to anybody but yourself ". It sounds trippy, dreamy and distant. Throughout the song you can hear a "hurricane"-motif, which gets a call-back in Gasoline. Feet first, don't fall or we'll be running again. This. This is my favorite Halsey song of all time (unless anything on Manic manages to rear its head forth). Roman Holiday was produced by the masterful trio that is Captain Cuts. The song is such an explosion of joy, nostalgia and freedom. Halsey explained that this song was about "escaping from the problems of your real life ? not looking back on them and finding solace somewhere else". The song sounds escapist, but in a freeing way. The choruses are fiery and then the bridge comes along and amps everything up another level. It's the perfect pop song. Roman Holiday introduces the motif of "running, again". While the lyric on its own doesn't make much sense, combined with the rest of the album, it becomes apparent that the thing that Halsey is running from is her mental illness - the depression and the mania. And I swear I hate you when you leave but I like it anyway. Ghost is a really fast paced electropop cut, originally from Room 93. It was the song that put Halsey on the map, the song that got her signed. The original demo-version went slightly viral on Soundcloud and suddenly she had labels knocking on her door. She ended up with Astralwerks, mostly because they gave her a lot of creative freedom. A knee ways, this song is very dreamy and the verses are super catchy. It's shimmery and dark, very TumblrTM. If you want to read more, I have a writeup just about this song too. I'm still waking every morning, but it's not with you. This song (which is most definetly not about Halsey's relationship with a certain Matt Healy from The 1975) was a fan favorite before the album even dropped, having been played at a live show a couple moths prior to the Badlands release. I remember literally downloading the Troubadour-live version as an mp3 and putting it in my Spotify-library. That's how thirsty us fans were for new Halsey songs in early 2015. The song grew out of a poem she posted on her Tumblr, which she ended up turning into the bridge. She ended up getting accused of plagiarizing that bridge from a Tumblr post ? that she, Halsey herself made. The stripped version replaces this bridge with this simple sentence: "Art is not what I create - what I create is chaos", which definetly holds true to this date. Following the song is a cute little interlude that serves as the bridge between Colors and Strange Love. Everybody's waiting up, to hear if I dare speak your name. It's really nice of Halsey to put the song telling everybody off for knowing that Colors is about Matty, right next to the song itself. If you want to read a poem? post? that Halsey wrote about their relationship, you can do so here at your own discretion. The song is about her being allowed to use her personal experiences in her song writing, but still having the right to a private personal life - she doesn't have to share anything and any piece of inform

Hello, LIES, THAT INFEST PSYCHIATRY POOR DOCUMENTATION, REGARDING THE DRUGS Psychiatric drugs are often said to give heightened prolactin in 1%, or maybe 10% of patients. This is false, for several reasons.. The biggest one is, that psychiatric drugs block the D2 - dopamine receptor ( there are five dopamine receptors, called D1 - D5, D2 is the one that is considered ' anti - psychotic ', ie. blocking that inhibits psychotics behavior, and more).. We know from science, that skizophreniacs don't have more dopamine in the brain, than healthy people, R. Whitaker mentions this, and as such blocking it should have no effect, on psychosis, at least directly. I have been on several anti-psychotics, and I have never felt any lessening of psychotic symptoms, or reductions in degree, of delusions.. The patients I meet in the hospital also don't seem to get ' better ', they keep saying the same, crazy things, no matter how much ' medicine ', they get, I have never met a person, who got ' sane ', on the pills.. The second thing is, that it only increases prolactin in maybe 1%, or 10%, of patients.. This is scientifically false, as dopamine is an active ' brake ' on prolactin, meaning the second you inhibit D2 - receptors, prolactin always rises, except in a very small group of people, that have an abnormal dopamine transmission, have a flawed dopamine system, in the brain.. That means, that all the anti-psychotics, including clozapine, and Abilify causes prolactin to rise, as a physiological fact, in all humans.. This is documented in a youtube talk, by a young doctor, who explains how the dopamine system works. A second problem is, that hypeprolactinemia is defined as ' above normal range ', which is Danish units is 450 mIU/L, for males, I think it is 20 units, in American standards, or numbers.. So, if a drug causes prolactin to increase, but inside this range, as the drugs Abilify, and clozapine should do, because they have weak ' inhibition ' numbers for this receptor, that might be the cause, for the low number, despite it happening.. The second problem is, drug companies are only required to measure prolactin after 12 hours, or 24 hours, by the FDA.. So, any early spike, that is gone quickly, is ' described ' as being 1%, or even 0%, because of this flaw.. Clozapine has a spike, that is actually hyperprolactinemia, in a 2003 research article, above 450 mIU/L, in 6 out of 6 patients, on 300 mg clozapine, which is lower than the average dose, in Britain, which 450 mg, per day, in patients.. I have complained about psychiatric drugs always increasing my prolactin, and doctors have told me, that's psychotic, it doesn't do that.. According to medical science, it always does that, in 100% of people, humans, and most mammals, as well.. There is also the case, of the CAFE study, where they compared an old drug, to a new drug, and ' accidentally ' compared a low dose, of the new drug, to an equivalent ' high ' dose, of an older drug.. That made the drug look better, than the older drugs, and it was marketed as such, as a revolutionary ' second - generation ' drug.. But, when FDA researchers checked the ' facts ', and compared a high dose of the old drugs, to a similar dosage, equivalent dosage, of the new drugs, they found very little difference.. The older drugs caused more movement disorders, problems, like ticks, spasms, but the newer drugs were worse, in terms of prolactin, hormone - problems.. That was the CATIE study, and the researches concluded the ' new anti - psychotics ', the second-generation drugs, were a clever lie, told to sell, and deceive health care funds, globally, a theft.. So, another problem in psychiatry is, that the companies have often lied, to sell more, and justify the price, of their newer ' patent - drugs ', for profit.. This means that the data, from the pre-clinical trials aren't guaranteed to be ' good ', and according to the Danish FDA, they put especial focus on those trials, because they know how many got them, and what other drugs they got, can ' restrict ' the test - subjects, so it's more valid.. In later studies, often it is difficult to find ' clean ' patients, many have other diseases, there are age differences, other such things.. The Danish FDA writes that they put more emphasis on pre-clinical trials, because they're more controlled.. That has implications for the validity, of the side-effect profile, released to the public, and it's veracity.. At least in regards to prolactin, the documentation is utterly flawed, a sham.. 100% of patients, almost, experience an increase in prolactin, according to basic, medical science, that is taught in most medical schools.. It's psysiology.. Because of the flawed nature, of how drugs are documented, the definition of ' hyperprolactinemia ', and also the requirement to only test after 12 hours, or 24 hours after giving it, the drug, in pre-clinical trials, many drugs are under-reported.. The number should be 100%, less if one uses the ' strict ' definition of hyperprolactinemia, as the ' standard ', but that misses clear spikes, that are scientifically valid, and strong.. Basically, this is poor documentation, and deceit.. PROLACTIN AND THE MATERNAL INSTINCT, MATERNAL BEHAVIOR I have gotten several anti-psychotics, and always complained I felt like a pregnant woman, hormonally.. I developed sensitive, sore nipples, lactated a few times, became very prone to crying, especially when seeing puppies, kittens, cute animals.. According to women, describing pregnancy, this is exactly what happens.. I also developed homosexual ' ideations ', and one might think, women become less sexually interested, during pregnancy, but it is actually the opposite.. In the first three months, there's less interest, because of nausea, bodily changes, other things.. But, in the second and third trimester, women generally describe an above-normal interest in sex, and intercourse, with their male partners, doctors describe this as well, and call the women that experience this, not all do, ' lucky ', and ' fortunate '.. As a man, I found that repulsive, and humiliating, embarassing.. I developed interest in anal-sex, with me receiving it, from other men, kissing men, and holding hands, with men, just like a pregnant.. I have found over 100 scientific articles, saying prolactin changes ' mood, emotions, and behavior ', towards ' pregnancy ', ' mothering '.. Yet, this side-effect, or ' natural ' consequence, hasn't been recorded on any anti-psychotic, despite it increasing in 100%, of patients, physiologically.. I find it odd, that 40 million skizophreniacs, 1% of the global population, and half of that, for the males, 40 million people, and all those people outside this group, that also got anti-psychotics, that not one of them has experienced this, because this is written, as absent, on all anti-psychotics, across the spread.. Not a single anti-psychotic, not even risperidone, which gives the most prolactin, of any psychiatric drug, has this mentioned as a side-effect, even in 0. 01%, or 0. 001%, of patients.. That's a lie, a direct deceit, as 100% of patients experience this, in differing degrees, or extents.. So, there are massive flaws in the documentation, and even things doctors know from medical school WILL happen, aren't reported, even as 0. 001% of patients getting.. I find it strange, that you can make 40 million men into homosexuals odd, without even on in 10. 000 complaining.. I conclude, it is intentional, clear fraud, that psychiatry knows about this, doesn't care, and cause male homosexuality, in 100% of the patients, because that makes them easier to handle, ' less ' trouble.. In fact, since D2 - dopamine receptors is the only dopamine receptor responsible for prolactin increase, the D1, D3, D4, and D5 receptors don't change prolactin, when inhibited, I think it's the point, of the therapy, since it doesn't cure delusions, the dopamine system isn't sick, not the problem.. Here's a link to those 100 articles, saying prolactin causes maternal ' behavior ', or male homosexuality, as science.. They're degrading mental patients, with cruel, barbaric treatments, globally, sadly.. Download link, copy into Internet Explorer: This documents, since 40 articles are by doctors, medical professionals, 40 articles are by other scientists, biologists, biochemists, pharmacologist, and the last 20 articles, are by journalists, other non-scientists, that quote this research, and that it is public knowledge, that psychiatry changes men into homosexuals, hormonally, for convenience, ease.. When they did that to me, because I played too many video games, and got so excited, I made noise, disturbed the neighbors, so they couldn't sleep, I feel like this, in my soul.. How prolactin feels, as a soul: Often, on the high dosages, this lasted 22 - 23 hours, a day, and I was in hell, utterly tortured.. On 10 mg olanzapine, it lasted 8 - 9 hours, on 15 mg, it lasted 14 - 16 hours, and on 20 mg, it lasted 22 - 23 hours, each day.. I think the doctors know this, since the ' sedating ' effects were gone, pretty early, but the hormones stayed, and did the ' damage '.. I think anti-psychotics are an excuse, to pump men full of pregnancy hormones, so they become more managable, easier, to deal with.. This fits well with how anti-psychotics don't really cure psychosis, but, it seems like a way to cripple, and humiliate men hormonally, by turning them into ' pregnant ' women, with pharmaceuticals.. This happens in 100% of mental patients, according to science, and this ' side - effect ' isn't recorded on ANY anti-psychotic, ever.. I think it's the goal, with the drugs, at least in me, they made me tired until the morning, even on 20 mg, high dosage olanzapine.. The effect that remained, until the next pill, was the hormones, those effects.. This is something every serious medical practicioner should know, and to think psy

I’ve just completed Bloodborne in the early hours of the morning and I wanted to share with you fellow Hoonters, a few thoughts on bosses, what I enjoyed and what I didn’t enjoy. There are No Lore or Story Spoilers, however, the bosses and the order I fought them in, are named with a few tips, as well as locations. So minor spoilers for bosses, locations and some characters. I haven’t played dark souls or Sekiro and downloaded BB when it was free to download for PS Plus users years ago, and decided to give it a shot during the UK’s quarantine. Fast forward 3 weeks, and I’ve completed the story and DLC with the ‘secret’ 3rd ending with the final optional boss. Even if no one reads/likes this post, I just want to put my own experience ‘onto paper’ so to speak. As it’s now become one of my favourite games after just one playthrough. What I liked: The challenge and nuances to each boss and enemy type. The Victorian and gothic horror of the settings. I hadn’t been exposed to much Lovecraftian lore and it’s made me want to explore the Cthulhu mythos and his works. The soundtrack is phenomenal. The format of recovering lost echoes, rallying and the reliance of skill as a core mechanic. Git gud or go home. The way that exploration is rewarded with additional items, areas, bosses and weapons, as well as story implications. What Didn’t work for me: Weapon availability and choice A large proportion of the weapons found after completing character questlines, the others are either available in the DLC which has a high skill/Blood level barrier or are limited by your build. I felt this limited me to levelling up my early game weapons (which I needed to do for progression) and sticking to the small roster of potential choices for my build. I +10 my LHB (the noob weapon I’ve heard it called) and +9 my saw spear - as most of the choices were not available to me or my build. I k No respec or do-overs. What I mean by this, is that there are no retries, if you make a mistake then it’s over. I’m mainly referring to builds and questlines again here. E. G I missed Eileen’s questline (as I didn’t find her in Central Yarnham) and I aggro’d Alfred (accidentally mistaking him for a potential enemy NPC) meaning I didn’t get certain items and weapons which I would’ve liked to have used or certain dialogue to expand the story. I found this quite frustrating as I do like to explore and get as much as possible during my playthrough, and subsequently this made me start looking on reddit (thanks to this amazing and surprisingly still active community) and YouTube and the wiki. I’ll touch on this below. Before people point out the obvious, I understand that the lack of a replay - give a good level of replayability and is a FromSoftware design choice. It just doesn’t work as well for me and my play style. Understanding of the Story and the lore (no spoilers) To be completely honest, I went through the entire game not having a clue what was going on, and what certain characters meant. A lot of the understanding felt hidden in item descriptions or dialogue. As someone who didn’t pay much attention sometimes or read things and then forgot, I struggled to piece together the cryptic clues of the story. However, I do like that the detail is found in descriptions and has to make the player think and actively work out what is going on. Like exploration, the game feels like it’s rewarding curiosity. I’m only putting it in the ‘what didn’t work for me’ column, as learning the story and the intricate lore from VaatiVidya/Fungo/Mitch L’s videos on YouTube, felt a little disappointing to not have experienced that in game. I know the obvious answer is to be more attentive and active as a gamer, and spelling things out word for word isn’t what I’m looking for, I just think that having more cutscenes or obvious unmissable dialogue would’ve enhanced MY experience. My build and experience with bosses: I want to preface the below by saying that I don’t think I’m an amazing player by any stretch of the imagination and I started my character as simply PvE offline to experience the story and gameplay. As mentioned above, I had watched videos and beginner tips and knew the rough outline of the boss fights (e. g order and basic dos and donts). Which is how I knew to start off with a ‘quality/physical’ build and to do the DLC inbetween Micolash and MWN to avoid doing it in the NG+ cycle. I should mention, I haven’t played much of the chalice dungeons yet... so not including those, just the bosses and locations in the base game + Old Hunters DLC. I didn’t summon for any of the fights either. Boss and Location Awards: Easiest boss: Celestial Emissaries (marginally beating the Witches) Hardest boss (minus DLC): Vicar Amelia! I couldn’t get used to her attacks and really struggled getting her to 50% Hardest boss overall: Ludwig the Accursed/Holy Blade Favourite Boss: Ludwig (second being either Maria or Rom) Most surprisingly difficult boss: Mergo’s Wet Nurse Coolest fight location: Rom’s lake/Gehrman’s Flower hill Biggest letdown fight: Amygdala Favourite location: Upper Cathedral Ward Although I love the whole of Yarnham/Cathedral Ward/ Old Yarnham, the UCW is just so creepy and genuinely gave me the chills.... Worst Location: YaharGul - unseen village Fuck this place.... just felt like sprinting around trying to avoid the Amygdala’s lasers.... My Death count (in the order I did them in, I added my BL to put things in perspective): Cleric beast - 0 deaths Slap the booty, use serrated or fire. Good tutorial boss. I found not locking on worked for me. Father Gascoigne - 3 deaths First brick wall, keep pushing through, you got this! Parries are key in this fight. When he turns into a beast, molotovs and fire do a tonne of damage. Make use of the environment - specifically the stairs and the graves - to allow time to use the music box for easy damage. Blood Starved Beast - 0 deaths Slide to the left... (cha cha real smooth... ) Parries are difficult but doable, I didn’t use this, I would just recommend on not getting greedy and fire is your friend again - as well as the pungent cocktails for free hits. Don’t lock on. Vicar Amelia - 6 deaths Sheesh I hated this bitch. Her attacks would wipe me no matter where I was and I was worried about using all my numbing mists (to stop her health regens) and not being able to buy them back. Serrated and fire again work well. Witches of Hemwick - 0 deaths..... come with low insight. Shadows of Yarnham - 0 deaths I think I started getting severely overlevelled at this stage and found this way easier than I should.... parries are key and do significant damage. Take down the katana guy first, he’s very aggresive. And then the mage who conjures the large snakes otherwise they can easily one shot you. Take the left most route (by the swamp things and pigs) for the quickest route to the boss. Dark beast Paarl - 5 deaths I went to the hypogean gaol before killing Vicar... I think I was severely underlevelled and got my ass whipped several times before deciding to come back later. He’s just a DPS test and those with heavy weapons that can stagger will find this easy. A real mixed bag boss... as I was then overlevelled when I defeated him in the first try after I returned. Rom the Vacuous Spider - 2 deaths Loved this fight. I killed all the spiders (as I hate them) before attacking Rom. His attacks are easily telegraphed and make sure to unlock the camera and keep him in the picture. Run at a 90 degree angle to escape the falling shards. After looking at lore videos, I felt sorry for Rom, cool guy, wish I didn’t have to kill the poor bastard. The one reborn - 0 deaths Kill the bell maidens first. I found that most of his attacks I could tank. High vitality I feel is key and it’s difficult to avoid his vomit and his small kicks. Martyr Logarious - 1 death (level 80 ish) A lot of people struggled with Martyr and I can see why.... I only got off a couple of parries and most of my damage came at 50% ish when he knelt and buffed, I was able to get about 25% chunked off right there and carried me through the fight. I packed on some heavy arcane res to get through the first stage. Great design and loved the vileblood story. FOR THR GLORY OF CAINHURST. Celestial emissary - 0 deaths One of the only fights where I had to use less than 2 vials. Quite comical in the end, dissapointing fight to end one of my favourite locations in the game. Amygdala - 0 deaths (level 88) Dissapointing fight, after seeing the lesser versions all around YaharGul and the Cathedral Ward, I found him to be quite weak. I baited the head and my heavy weapon did huge damage. Looks creepy as fuck though. The part where he rips off his arms is awesome though. Ebreitas - 4 (level 89) The real boss of UCW. Loved the lore element to him but found a lot of his attacks to be BS with annoyingly large hit boxes. Especially his charge and aura. Great fight and I found it best to keep my distance and bait his slams and hit the ass. When he’s at 50%, again, he does something similar to Martyr where he builds up his second phase and you can do so much damage by just wailing on him. Micolash - 0 deaths (level 91) Took me ages to find this guy!! They must have a treadmill or an elliptical in the nightmare of Mensis... Stay close to avoid the call beyond attack, high vitality again is important here to tank the Augur of Ebrietas move. Otherwise, he’s pretty unthreatening. Ludwig the accursed/holy blade - 4 deaths (level 95) Simply awesome. Dodge right at the start to avoid the leaping attack. Run when he leaps into the ceiling. Serrated and fire helped me a tonne. Avoid that AOE slam!!!! Just run for your life. Living failures - 0 deaths (level 104) Loch
