SPOILERS! Quando pensei na nota que daria para Harry e Sally ? Feitos Um Para o Outro, me surpreendi, visto que se trata de um longa excelente. Fiquei surpreso porque o filme pertence a um gênero que me desagrada profundamente: a comédia romântica. A cada Questão de Tempo, ótima obra, existem dez O Amor Não Tira Férias, simplesmente pavoroso. Talvez, eu seja um rabugento que não aprendeu a apreciar o gênero, confesso. Contudo, comédias românticas sempre me pareceram excessivamente clichê, com histórias previsíveis e monótonas, sem possuir elementos que entretém como em outros gêneros.? Porém, Harry e Sally foge de convenções narrativas, encantando até mesmo o espectador mais careta, como eu. Não que, no fim, os dois protagonistas não fiquem juntos, eles ficam; porém, o roteiro escrito por Nora Ephron surpreende pela forma como os dois personagens constroem sua relação. O longa apresenta Harry ( Billy Crystal) e Sally ( Meg Ryan) durante uma viagem de carona até Nova York, os dois em época de faculdade. No trajeto, eles decidem não começar uma amizade por suas opiniões divergentes: Harry acha que homem e mulher não pode ser amigos devido ao interesse sexual, enquanto Sally acredita em relações apenas amistosas. Anos depois, com vidas estáveis, eles se reencontram e escolhem dar uma chance para a amizade. Contudo, após anos de convivência, percebem que estão se apaixonando. Ao elaborar sua história, a roteirista Nora Ephron sabe que tem em mãos um gênero saturado. Porém, inteligentemente, a escritora usa desse conhecimento para quebrar clichês da comédia romântica. Portanto, Harry e Sally surpreende não apenas na construção de sua narrativa, mas também tematicamente, mostrando como a base para uma ótima relação está em uma grande amizade.? Os protagonistas não são almas gêmeas que o destino atraiu ou pessoas que combinam, pelo contrário, o longa os apresenta como dois seres absolutamente diferentes. Perceba como, na sequência inicial, Harry e Sally destoam. Com isso, o roteiro também proporciona arcos pessoais para os personagens, destacando como relações moldam cada um individualmente com o passar do tempo. Além disso, o roteiro acerta ao fortalecer a relação dos dois sem torná-los parecidos. Ephron também está interessada em explorar a individualidade de cada um, tornando a obra profunda. Com isso, o ?enredo mostra como os dois não deixam de ficar juntos por uma oportunidade de vida melhor ou por já estarem envolvidos com outra pessoa, pelo contrário, a única coisa entre Harry e Sally são suas visões diferentes. Aliás, não é nem a atração física que aproxima os dois, visto que são raras as cenas em que eles se beijam e, quando fazem sexo pela primeira vez, a reação de Harry é de medo das consequências. Harry e Sally desenvolve uma relação entre os protagonistas que foge da paixão incontrolável ou da atração irresistível, eles se gostam porque se conhecem há anos. A amizade é a chave aqui. Inclusive, essa sensação de tempo passado e intimidade no relacionamento se deve a excelente direção de Rob Reiner, especialmente através da montagem. Com uma construção dinâmica, vemos os protagonistas passeando por museus, parques e restaurantes (lembrando muito o que Woody Allen faz com seus personagens), gerando um acumulado de experiências que torna crível o sentimento entre os protagonistas. Além disso, Reiner filma Nova York sempre com cores quentes, até mesmo nas estações do ano geladas, pontuando como um há um sentimento caloroso entre eles. A fotografia também acerta no uso constante de planos de dois, fortalecendo a química entre o casal. Outro ponto interessante do roteiro de Ephron é trazer Harry e Sally conversando sobre temas que fogem do romance tradicional, como trabalho, sexo, cinema e relações passadas, reforçando como ambos confiam no outro. Essa construção culmina em um clímax em que os protagonistas percebem, após várias decepções amorosas, como eles se encaixam perfeitamente, apesar das diferenças.? A frase final de Sally para Harry não é o tradicional “eu te amo”, mas sim um carinhoso “eu te odeio”, enquanto o beija. Isso porque ela realmente o odeia, visto que conhece as facetas mais chatas de seu companheiro. Assim como ele sabe as piores manias dela, como a demora ao pedir um lanche, por exemplo. Porém, é esse amplo conhecimento do outro que permite o surgimento do amor e isso também envolve descobrir defeitos. Harry e Sally se distancia de romances tradicionais porque o sentimento aqui não surge de paixões proibidas ou pelo amor a primeira vista. A base de uma grande relação está na amizade.
