Very nice track ?????????????????? respect. Dark lighter. Dark light creations. At my recent birthday redux dinner, an exceptional artist and friend, Sophia Wallace, asked an insightful question. She wanted to know if all of the “positive” news and sound bites we put out via Social Media create a false sense of reality. Perhaps there is a sense of distortion as the picture is all light and no shadow to contrast. Rule number 1 in blogging is to stay on the upbeat side. Your blog post is supposed to either inspire, educate or entertain, if not serve all three purpose. It’s hard to fulfill any of those requirements when your post is filled with negativity and gloom. When you utilize Social Media as a part of your business, not only is doom and gloom out, but so it bitching about other people. Yet darkness and light are two sides of the same coin and to pretend that our lives are always filled with cotton candy and rainbows is deceptive and false. I would like to ask you to indulge me for today and allow me to go into the shadow and talk about darkness for a bit. My dear friend Simon took his own life last week. When I related the news to another friend of ours, she replied, that is awful, he was troubled. Simon had a great capacity for darkness, perhaps more so than others. Peace was always a little harder to come by for him. I think some were unsettled by his darkness. The darkness in others reflects back as our own shadow self, and the reflection is part of the same impulse to keep our Social Media output cheerful that can quickly become alienating and false. But Sophia is right, can you really be that happy all the time? What I am interested in is why we are so afraid of the darkness? In others and in ourselves? Is it because we are told that its bad marketing / no one wants to be depressed / made aware of their own mortality / no one likes a downer?! Help me out there and fill in the blanks. I understand the marketing principal in keeping things on the upbeat side but the irony is that it is the posts where the writer is honest and vulnerable that get the most feedback and engagement (as confirmed by myself and other bloggers). I believe it is our humanness, our mortality, our flaws and our weaknesses that makes us interesting. Our individuation from one another comes from those characteristics, from the our battle wounds and shadow selves. The question is not whether we have darkness within but how we transform, transmute and translate the darkness that gives our lives and our art depth and meaning. There is no light without shadows. Without contrast the image fails to take form and is only a monochromatic block of singularity. We should embrace our darkness, explore it with curiosity, and discover it in earnest. If we didn’t shy away from the shadow, perhaps those of us who are prone to more darkness would be more at ease in reaching out, our lives would be richer and the art we create would have more depth and significance. There will be a memorial for Simon today. Many of our classmates will be there to celebrate the amazingly incredible person Simon was and how fortunate we all were to have shared various adventures with him. Simon was a faithful, loyal, steadfast friend, incredible actor, brilliant writer / director, insightful scholar and a courageous warrior who never shied away from his own darkness and always embraced the darkness in me. I would like to dedicate this post to my dear friend.

The Light in Darkness A Limited Edition Companion Book to the New Bruce Springsteen The Promise Box Set. From the same publisher of the sold out book, For You Original Stories and Photographs by Bruce Springsteen's Legendary Fans. I spent those years in between [ Born to Run and Darkness] waiting for his return, both sonically and in the flesh. And when he did return, a changed man, a grownup with a new anger and dissonance to his sound, I felt bereft. I had to fucking adjust. I mean, I really had to listen to that album, hard, over and over again, to find where I could meet him, or really, where he was meeting me. This was when listening to an album meant lying on the floor, head between your speakers, dropping that needle over and over to play that song again and again. Skipping this one or that one, it's formulaic and tired, or is it? Play it again and realize, no, there's something different here. And when I listen now, I can hear it all. The genius of that album. The anger and the disenchantment. And the rage in those guitars! - Suzanne Scala With so many Springsteen-related books available, you might not know where to begin to get the perfect gift for the Bruce fan in your life. You cannot do better than The?Light?in?Darkness. - David Lifton Bruce Springsteen's Darkness on the Edge of Town broke new ground for The Boss in 1978. A counterpoint to the operatic elegance of Born to Run, the album was an angry, raw record that burst forth after a three-year hiatus. Because of its darker tones, some might call Darkness a difficult album, but despite this, it's a cherished gem for many. Collecting stories and photos from hundreds of fans, The Light in Darkness celebrates this classic record, allowing readers to revisit the excitement of that moment when the needle found the grooves in that first cut and the thundering power of " Badlands " shook across the hi-fi for the very first time. Or the uninitiated, but soon-to-be-converted teenager, brought along by friends and finding salvation at one of the legendary three-plus hour concerts - shows that embodied all the manic fury of a revival meeting. The book is also for those more recent converts to The Boss who may have stumbled across a dusty bootleg in a used record store - discovering the magic of the Agora or the Winterland shows. Finally, The Light in Darkness is for those who never gave Bruce's fourth album much consideration; those more partial to the high-polished sounds of Born to Run or the stadium-rousing choruses of Born in the U. S. A. For the skeptics, just read the tales of those who struggle with the dark and trembling frustration of "Something in the Night, " the open-road emptiness of "Racing in the Street, " and the too-faraway hope of "The Promised Land. " A troubling album indeed. But the passion, the connection, the thrill of the fans as they explore this classic record will make a convert of anyone. The Three-Year Wait It was a long wait. From the time Born to Run came out until the release of Darkness on the Edge of Town, fans had to suffer through a three-year hiatus, a lifetime for a musician to be off the radar back then. And in the days before the Internet and MTV, Bruce's devotees often had no idea what was taking him so long, and little means to find out. They resorted to scouring the pages of Rolling Stone and Creem magazines for any mention of Springsteen, any hint or clue about when the new record would be released. And when that produced no results, they turned to prayer. We all know now that legal wrangling with his first manager, Mike Appel, kept a new record off the shelves for those three years. When Bruce finally came out victorious and replaced Appel with music writer Jon Landau, the stage was set for the next record to be released. But few would anticipate the frustration that had built up during those years, anger that Springsteen would channel into the new album. The Light in Darkness shares the stories of fans coming to grips with this new record and this very different sound from The Boss, finding that Bruce's struggles and frustrations often mirrored their own battles in life. A frayed relationship with a father, a body made sore with factory work, or the suffocating fear of being trapped in the badlands, fans have lived the stories Bruce tells on Darkness - the album is part of their history, a history they share in this book. Springsteen Live From the Palladium in New York to Detroit's Cobo Hall, from the famed Winterland to the year's final show at Cleveland's Richfield Coliseum, Springsteen's 1978 tour is legendary. Bruce, who was already famous for his incredible shows, pioneered a whole new kind of concert experience on this tour. Just the audience, Bruce and the E Street Band for a marathon three-plus hours, with an intermission in the middle just long enough to let the audience catch their breath. The Light in Darkness brings these shows to life through the testimony of those who were there, concerts that can still be heard through the magic of bootlegging. The stories fans tell from those electrifying 1978 shows only increases the power of hearing these coveted, semi-legal tapes still circulating today. The Darkness tour also marked the last time many would get to see The Boss in small concert halls, as Bruce's exploding popularity forced him to trade up to hockey arenas during several stops on the tour. Stadiums would soon follow. Today, many fans lucky enough to have attended the Darkness tour are glad they did whatever it took to land a ticket, a memory they can still cherish as they now watch Bruce from the nosebleeds. Over 200 Photos The Light in Darkness features stunning photography from the Darkness tour. Light dark green. First of all the film carries a resemblance to the 2002 M Night Shyamalan's Movie " Signs" but manages to be the usual run of mill creature thriller flick with pretty good jump scares. br> So to start it has our main character who is being interrogated by the police on suspicion of making her daughter disappear. A series of flashbacks shows mother and child experiencing weird stuff when her daughter apparently seems to be stalked by something evil because she saw strange UFO lights in their backyard. Next we have a police officer being called over multiple times and the usual routine and when she arrives, mum tells a story about weird things happening that indicate haunting apparitions.
There's also a lot of shifting camera shots of light that are done well. Now there are some good elements of this movie and although it can work out as a decent horror creature flick, it could have been better if something about dealing with human issues of relationship is included as the backdrop. But instead we get a scene where our protagonist's kid disappears and mum gets blamed for it. The usual premise and next this entire horror apparition aspect of the film switches track when we get our alien jumping out from the ground and to a corn field.I feel this part of the film should have been done better as the creature looks neither menancing nor visceral. The plot is suspenseful and interesting to say at very to say, the plot isn't really a plot, because it is "all over the place" and "makes no sense. it's just a waste of your time. In the end everything is explained, and most of your questions are answered.
Overall i would say watchable for the constant flow in the screenplay. The major flaws are some quirks in acting performances where the character lack some vibrancy or just being too flat. One may like it for some edge of the seat flow in the screenplay and this this film not just another usual B movie 't be too critical when watching it, and u will enjoy the film.

Dark light 2019 trailer. Wow sera. Dark lighthouse. Dark light source. By ? Published December 13, 2017 ? Updated January 31, 2019 The Lower 48’s collective view of Alaska has become rather warped over the years, barraged by a variety of reality television shows and appearances by the likes of Sarah Palin and Charlo Greene. Ranging from “Alaskan Bush People” to “Deadliest Catch, ” Alaskan stories have become heavily filtered by the media. Journalism professor Robert Prince recognized this, and decided to rectify the situation by creating “Dark Winter Nights, ” a podcast, radio program, and live show where real Alaskans tell real Alaskan stories. “There’s a lot of reality TV shows that just make things up that. They create this caricature of Alaska that they think audiences in the lower 48 and around the world want to see. There’s enough fascinating stuff happening here already. We don’t need to make stuff up, ” said Prince. The live shows first began in April of 2014, drawing just a few hundred people. In November of the same year, their second show’s audience had grown exponentially, packing Pioneer Park. Their largest show was in 2015 and attracted nearly a thousand people. Although the show took a hiatus while Prince was on sabbatical, he is now back in Alaska and getting things moving once more. Podcasts are being uploaded regularly, and a live show is currently planned for April 2018. “My long-term goal is to take us on the road, ” Prince said. “The world is fascinated with Alaska, obviously, but I feel like Alaska needs to take control of its story and its identity and not let TV producers from L. A. decide what Alaska is like. ” Although the program has been a “labor of love, ” Prince hopes to expand the program soon, and has been working with international podcasts in an effort to expand the audience of the show. Prince is always looking for more stories, so any Alaskan who thinks that they may have a worthy Alaskana story to share can visit the show’s website and submit their tale for judgement. Some examples of these stories include close encounters with the animals here in Alaska, such as Ray Smith’s story of driving into town behind a pack of wolves as told in the most recent episode of the podcast. “I get right up behind them and I tap the horn a little bit, it didn’t even faze them. They didn’t turn around and look at me, they didn’t do anything, they just stayed right in my lane, ” said Smith. “And I want to add by the way, they were all in the southbound lane, none of them were over there in the northbound lane. I guess they read their manual, but I don’t know. ” “The Dark Winter Nights” team votes on each submitted story, and decides which ones will work best on the radio, podcast, and/or in their lives shows. “It has to be a story that would impress other Alaskans, because we feel that if the story impresses Alaskans, it’s going to blow away people in the Lower 48, ” says Prince. “It’s been a ton of fun to get up in front of all those Alaskans and share these awesome stories that would otherwise just not be told, ” he continued. Those who wish to listen to the Dark Winter Nights podcasts can visit, and keep an eye peeled for the upcoming live show through their Facebook page or email newsletter.
