The IPCC is not a scientific institution. Whatever reports they have already have a pre determined conclusion. I just saw a screening of David Lynch: The Art Life, which is basically a feature length interview with him about his early life, painting, and his rise to filmmaking. He ends up talking about some already famed stories such as the crying naked woman in his childhood which served as inspiration for Rossellini's nude freakout scene in Blue Velvet, and how the small two-block town served inspiration for most of his work as a whole. Interestingly though, he brings up this 'double-life' he had in high school where he would go out drinking in the city at night with some of his unsavory friends. At a certain point he said that he felt like he was living a 'triple-life' where he had to act different around his family than he would his friend group A versus friend group B, etc. and how at the time it was very hard to reconcile the feelings of being a very split young person. A pretty eerie summation and inspiration for how Laura Palmer's character operates. FWWM is still pretty great though, and feels kind of like a bleak impressionist painting; if you look too close at the strokes you can sometimes get lost, but when you step back and view the whole thing it works pretty well, at least with Lynches intentions in mind. I listen to the OST at least once a week and I think it's even superior to the already great work on the TV show. I can't wait for Sunday.
I expect there have been posts like this in the past, but this one is mine. I will explain some history and then go through my Discord data package with you. Three and a half years ago, on 2016-05-02, I signed up for Discord. Discord was pretty cool at the time, and it still is, since nothing else really competes with even its text chat in terms of speed, features, ease of use, and looking pretty. I am currently subscribed to the premium service Nitro, paying with card. On 2018-07-17, or around then, as part of GDPR, Discord allowed you to download your data, and also provided controls for turning off how much data you want them to store. As soon as this feature became available, I requested a copy of my data, and once I received it 30 days later, I set the privacy switches to share as little as possible. More than one full year has passed since then, so I thought I'd request another data package to see what's in it now. Since 2019-03-01, I have used the Canary desktop client on Linux (Canary is like a beta) along with mods to stop it sending tracking information. I also use the regular unmodified Discord Android app on LineageOS without gapps. I requested my data on 2019-12-27 and received it a couple of days later. Here is something interesting to note.
