N95 masks have never been used for droplet precautions.. It has historically been a surgical mask with a plastic face shield. I don't really know why everyone is crying for N95s when what is needed is the face shields. level 2 You’re correct, N95 is an air filtration rating. There is no such thing as alternative to; or like-N95 - it either is rated as such or not. That surgical mask with shield provides basically no protection from particles in the air. level 2 You are correct. I don't know how this got in there and have asked for a correction. There needs to be a global effort for China’s government to pay for this error in judgement by sending foreign aid just as the rest of the world sent foreign aid to them. TBH I don’t want it to end there, but this is a huge failing on the Chinese government and causing the deaths of thousands globally and in China. We should all be so angry at this! The Chinese government are even trying to change the narrative pretending that the virus didn’t start in China but somewhere else. We can’t let this happen! How does this not make people angry?! They are spitting in the face of all those who have died and are suffering. I know people, loved ones, who didn’t even know the virus was happening IN CHINA. They are now deathly ill because of this suppression of information.
