Furthermore, he's joined by Laurence Fishburne, Barry Pepper, Clifton Colins Jr. and some other previously seen & heard names. To be honest, it's easy to get into these thrillers, because I already know what to expect, all it takes is 2 minutes long look at the cast, director, plot and.. poster. "Running with the Devil" is not a great movie, but it's hard not to enjoy it. Lets get the bad qualities off the table first. Despite taking place in over 15 different locations & across two continents, story lacks any narrative inspiration, rhytm or complexety. It doesn't even make sense at some points. The structure is choppy, the climax is weak & there's not nearly enough good old fashioned action. However, we have come here for the cast. It's indeed an enjoyable romp of many characters - Laurence Fishburne snorting coke and being extremely horny, Adam Goldberg being a bit*h, Nicolas Cage doing.. thing, and so on and so forth. Seriously though, while the script is very, very weak and directing uninspiring, "Running with the Devil" is kept afloat with a steady pacing dragged on by the amount of characters and locations, with the awesome cast doing their thing & with a pretty fine cinematography and (sometimes questionable) editing. You will be running with the devil because Cage & Fishburne runs with it & later You're going to be running for another movie. I'm sure that I can positively recommend this flick to anyone who's a fan of the cast and/or a fan of this particular & familiar low budget average thriller niche. The key is knowing what you'll get. I can't stand how much the characters are talking, in and out of battle. 2 hours. I hope nobody minds but i wanna share my self growth story. if you have the time to read then go ahead and do so. its long so heres a heads up. this summer had been one of the most emotional experiences i have had in my life. this year in general just... helped me find myself as a person. im so much happier than i was sitting in front of a screen talking to people that pretended to care about me. the only one that really loved and cared about me was this girl. she was trapped online too. hated herself and made poor choices to feel liked by others. loved even. it took all i had and more to get her to realize theres more to life than just being an online persona. many many of the people i were friends with this year have left my life and i dont think ill ever see them again. my best friend shamed me for something the girl and i did. she was devastated because she thought id made the same mistake as her. ive been with this girl for almost 5 months and ive known her for 9 months. i still love her as much as the day i started talking to her but my best friend couldnt see that. they never truly were my best friend. just a hope in my eyes to think someone could actually be my best friend. the only best friend ive ever had is my current girlfriend. funny story actually. idk if anyone is still reading this. we met in a voice chat on discord in some youtubers edgy server. a lot of people were sexual and stuff and i didnt care much for it. she herself was one of them but like i said she made poor choices and i admit i have too. many many poor choices by me actually. i think the first time i had heard her laugh that night made me smile as big as i ever have. not exaggerating and im sorry if it sounds stupid. she said i was kinda cute but at the same time she was dating someone so she meant it as a friendly gesture. at the time i didnt know she liked me, or maybe even loved me. we spent the next week or so dming every night and sitting in voice chats for hours. she was hilarious and she thought i was too. i always felt so happy when i made her laugh. then one night we were talking normally and one of us started being sexual i dont remember who it was. i sent an inappropriate picture knowing she was with someone. she consented and she knew she was with someone. after that a few days went by and she felt really guilty. started ignoring me overall and then told me i make her so uncomfortable. broke my heart a good bit and so i told her i wanted to try to fix things but i couldnt without her help. we stopped talking for 4 months. we started talking again when my best friend had been harassed by a pedophile. she thought i was really helpful and so did another friend of hers so we all had a group chat along with the pedos ex girlfriend who was in her mid twenties i believe. she supported us throughout all of it. we tried so hard and constantly to get him banned from discord or in trouble with the law or anything to punish him for the things he had done to underage girls. eventually he got banned from discord and we all celebrated. he lived across the world and doesnt have enough money to fly to any of us and create an international lawsuit so we were fine. still it was nice knowing we had prevented someone from harassing children or teenagers. after that, me and the girl had started talking a lot more. we realized we had more in common than we originally thought and we even started liking each other. she had many mental health issues at the time and i cant say i blame her. she had been through a lot because of the old decisions she had made on impulses. one day she started flirting with this other guy and her friend was in a voice chat with us. her friend said the guy was trying to get her attention on a server i wasnt in so i just ignored it. overheard that they were flirting and stuff because the girl had just broken up with some other guy. she wasnt emotionally or mentally ready to be flirting with anyone at the time and i take a bit of the blame for this but i started talking with her. one night we started flirting a bit and i was talking to her about how my best friend was joking about me and the girl liking each other. she asked me if i had a crush on her i said i didnt know for sure yet because i was flirting off and on during those weeks. she told me she had a crush on me and my immature self said “oh thats great! i think” because id never had a girl take interest in me first or approach me romantically that quickly. the entire month of july was dramatic and jealousy based so i wont go into detail with it. in the last week of july my best friend found out me and the girl had done stuff together and told me i was disgusting and she was very disappointed that id do things like that and not learn from her mistakes. i told her i was sorry and i didnt know who else to go to because all of my friends were ignoring me at the time and i felt like no one was caring about me anymore. she said she could see why. i couldnt feel anything that night if i had wanted to. the girl ended up friendzoning me because my best friend had stabbed me in the back and manipulated her into thinking i was gross and a horrible person. i talked to an ex that night and asked if i could just hang out and watch something on rabbit with her. she said sure and so we watched some danganronpa gameplay. i wasnt feeling any better so i told her i wanted to go to bed and i did after that video ended. the next day i talked to the girl, i was still numb to everything because i felt no worth in myself anymore. felt like my imagine of how i portrayed myself was destroyed and i didnt wanna live with that. the girl asked me how i was and i told her im still in love with her and that i was sorry. she said she was sorry too and shes still in love with me as well. we made up and by the end of the weekdays we were close friends again. on august 2nd which was that friday, she was feeling no worth in herself and wanted to kill herself. i told her how much i loved her and if she were to kill herself it would just hurt people around her and wouldnt solve anything as i know she has great potential in life and can do many amazing things if she works hard enough. she said she was going to go through with it and i couldnt think of anything else so i told her i decided i was gonna ask her to be my girlfriend the next day. she started crying and i kinda did a little bit too. was struggling to cry this year because of emotional damage from losing friends so constantly. she said wait until the next day and i did. that day we played her favorite game, talked about her interests and mine as well, joked a lot and even got dressed up because it almost felt like a real date to us. still is a real date to me. so i asked her the question once both our families had left our houses and we had privacy to ourselves because they didnt know about us at the time. she said yes, i was as happy as possible at the time and we started having the honeymoon phase all relationships do. the next day her parents found us texting and put very strict restrictions on her phone and grounded her from almost everything. we started facetiming every night because it was one of our only means of contact. her mom found our call logs about a week after the restrictions and restricted facetime to contacts only. we started talking on minecraft (yes this means i had a minecraft gf) and did that for about 2 months along with texting. i quit using discord after that and decided to only remain in contact with two people. one was a person i had known for 2 years while the other was someone i would hang out with every now and then because she never caused or joined in on any drama. her parents saw twice where we had texted, different months. last time they said if they catch us talking again that shed never get her phone back, that was back in early october. shes been there in most of my hardest times this year. shes the only friend i need. this was the first song she had ever sent to me because i had told her i love music. this still reminds me of all those memories of lost people just stuck in an online community, wanting at least one person to care for them and know they exist. heres to all those who are desperate and dont know where their life could be heading. you are worth the universe. you are loved and cared for. i know you can make these last few days of 2019 if you keep pushing. happy holidays and im glad i could share you my story. good luck. p.s. holy fuck i talk a lot.

The demon hand and black eyes showed his depression or insecurities and how he feels flawed and judged by society. The change of lighting into a soft purple and pink is when he falls in love. Then when the lady gave out the rose, it was like giving out her love and opening herself to him. But he retreats because he's scared of opening himself to others out of fear of being unaccepted. But as the girl finds out about his flaws (saw his demon hand) she did not judge him like how most people did. Instead, she placed her hand onto his and helped him burn away the hurt. His black eyes fade, as he feels accepted and no longer surrounded by his inner demons and insecurities. I feel that was how this music video was depicted and the depth is so inspiring T_T.
