Its avatar man. 0:16 like a boss. This song + whiskey = the best. Its interesting that Johnny Depp take this role because he actually has Pluto in his second house in his natal chart and it is a placement where someone could possibly turn into a criminal and become very heavily involved in crime,stealing and robbery to get the money they want or possessions they desire ?? so he was a good fit for this role having that planet makes a very clever person. I also have Pluto in my second house. We are shrewd sons of bitches lol.
Man this song is drivin me crazy, just lovin it. I consider this movie basically “heat” set in the depression. The man who shot john dillinger killed himself. Who really were the bad guys here... Honestly. Tommy gun is the most beautiful weapon I've ever seen... @joniwone Hey I'm with you all the way. It was filmed on low fps? camera motion looks blury. Michael Mann knows how a gun should sound when fired. Sad. Fuckin jakes. Here darling, here's a little something to remember me by My favorite line in the movie. She escapes from prison & plans her revenge on Christian Bale in The Dark Knight Rises.
That poster is sick! I love Johnny Depp, just put him on the cover of any poster and your guaranteed a hit. Well he's always playing some character who never shows emotion. never smiles. never changes expression. Also in 3:10 to yuma and the FBI agent. The only thing that changes is accent. I can finally say, I just watched Manhattan Melodrama after the longest time, of wanting to see it. All I can say, is it is one Hell of a movie for it's time. But this my view. With the lovely Myrna Loy that she was, and with the setting the movie showed it's so clear. It's a known fact that Dillinger had a Crush on Myrna Loy. And to be honest for the person Dillinger was, this very much was the perfect movie for him to see before he was gunned down. It fits him very precisely. For those who have never seen it your missing out. Both movies Manhattan Melodrama and Public Enemies both go hand in hand. And with this powerful scene in Public Enemies and then Manhattan Melodrama the movie is a piece of film history that can never be replicated. I give it 10/10 stars.
