Since the comparison to the Lego movies seems to be inescapable, let's just say that the humor in Playmobil felt much more fresh and natural. The lack of sarcasm in exchange for genuine wit was great. This will do well in international markets too I am guessing. Sraightforward story made it really great for younger kiddos while the creative imagery was captivating for the adults. I liked it very much.

This movie had a fun and comic journey but the premise feels forced. In addition they also wanted to bring a musical aspect which could have been focused more or just left out to get a better result.
