Dear lord, that was amazing. You still got it man. The author co-wrote all the scripts for "Normal People, " while entrusting the "Room" director to capture her acclaimed novel's ethereal "essence. " Sally Rooney sees herself in both characters within her novel, ¡È Normal People, ¡É but don¡Çt make her break it down further than that. ¡ÈI feel my psychological state as a child remains a mystery to me now, ¡É Rooney said during a TCA panel for the upcoming Hulu series. ¡ÈI don¡Çt know why I am the way I am. ¡É That¡Çs what the writing is for, after all. ¡ÈI felt, writing the book, that both characters were a projection of my point of view, ¡É she said. ¡ÈThey both embody aspects of my own psychology. [¡Ä] The challenge of adapting this for the screen is that they both have introspective qualities. ¡É To help with that challenge, Rooney turned to Oscar-nominated ¡ÈRoom¡É director Lenny Abrahamson, who helmed the first six episodes of the 12-episode TV adaptation, while Hettie MacDonald is directing the second half. Joining Rooney on the panel, along with executive producer Ed Guiney and actors Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Abrahamson said the key to unlocking the novel¡Çs resonance onscreen is understanding how much you can learn about someone from their movement, reactions, and general demeanor ? not everything has to be said. ¡ÈYou meet somebody on the street and you talk to them for 30 seconds, and you get a sense of who they are, ¡É Abrahamson said. ¡ÈIt¡Çs extraordinary how many nonverbal [indicators] exist in that arena. [¡Ä] What the novel gives you is this essence, so what you¡Çre trying to do as a [filmmaker] is recreate that essence in a new medium. ¡É Abrahamson also said television was the best place for this adaptation because of how specific you can be when telling an intimate story. ¡ÈTelevision now gives you a chance to tell stories at an extremely granular level of detail, ¡É he said. ¡ÈWe can get this story to such a substantial audience and give it the details it needs. [¡Ä] It felt very rich and very exciting for me to do. ¡É Adapted by Rooney alongside writers Alice Birch and Mark O¡ÇRowe, ¡ÈNormal People¡É is a 30-minute drama series. Per Hulu¡Çs synopsis, the adaptation ¡Ètracks the tender but complicated relationship of Marianne and Connell from the end of their school days in a small town in the west of Ireland to their undergraduate years at Trinity College. At school, he¡Çs well-liked and popular, while she¡Çs lonely, proud, and intimidating. But when Connell comes to pick up his mother from her cleaning job at Marianne¡Çs house, a strange and indelible connection grows between the two teenagers ? one they are determined to conceal. ¡É Both Abrahamson and Rooney credited their two leads for whatever success the series sees. ¡ÈWhen you cast two people as talented as Daisy and Paul in territory as rich as this, it gives you a chance to explore the direct presence of those characters, ¡É Abrahamson said. But neither lead had read Rooney¡Çs book before they were cast. ¡ÈI got my first audition and I¡Çd heard of the book ? a few friends had told me, ¡Æthis is the best thing you¡Çll ever read¡Ç ? [¡Ä] but I knew from the writing how complex she was in the few lines of dialogue I got, ¡É Edgar-Jones said. ¡ÈI¡Çm kind of glad I didn¡Çt read it before because I would¡Çve put an intense amount of pressure on myself. ¡É Mescal said he¡Çd read Rooney¡Çs first novel, ¡ÈConversations with Friends, ¡É but not ¡ÈNormal People. ¡É Still, he described himself as a ¡Èromantic¡É who loved devastating love stories like this one, as well as films like ¡ÈBlue Valentine¡É and ¡ÈMarriage Story. ¡É Edgar-Jones agreed, citing Baz Luhrmann¡Çs ¡ÈRomeo + Juliet¡É as a favorite. ¡ÈThose are the kind of stories I¡Çm most interested in ? I love love, ¡É she said. ¡ÈTo be part of one that¡Çs as special as this was really something. ¡É Abrahamson also pointed out that ¡ÈNormal People¡É tells a rare story on television, when it comes to other young romances that can skew very dark (like HBO¡Çs ¡ÈEuphoria¡É) or a bit soapy (like on The CW). ¡ÈIt¡Çs just as valuable to tell a story that¡Çs life-affirming [¡Ä] about formative life-changing relationships, ¡É he said. ¡ÈThere¡Çs nothing cynical about it, but it¡Çs still very deep and very textured. ¡É ¡ÈNormal People¡É is slated to premiere in Spring 2020 on Hulu. Her voice so relaxing makes you close your eyes take deep breaths. ORDINARY LOVE amor compuesto sin criterio. Anybody else know love like this out there? ?. Can music videos be nominated for an oscar? lol.
Strange decision to release this just before Christmas, but is very absorbing. The relationship described is convincing and the emotions as the cancer theme develops, raw and realistic. The two leads are excellent, but this is a Lesley Manville's film, I would say. She should get nominated for something. It is hard to think of a major actress with a wider range.

I like it. Reminds me of old U2, which is a good thing

50%music 50%elephant 100%talent. Best ever Irish band. no disrespect to Bob Geldof or Them or Van Morrison. Alaine i think I'm in love.
OMG, this is a beautiful performance. I only wish I was there. Sometimes keeping a film simple and not overdoing it with dramatic music or big set plays actually allows a film to resonate to a larger extent and that's certainly the case here. A reminder that Neeson is actually quite the versatile actor with the right material and a powerful lead alongside him. Emotional and a story that will likely effect most of us at sometime an intelligent, respectful yet all the powerful for it film that did not overstate or understate in any department but struck the perfect tone. Not necessarily for everyone but I for one thought it was fantastic.
Why? just tell me why. Who else is still watching this in 2020 and agree Sade is still so BEAUTIFUL. Who's here after Everyday Life. This is almost a fly-on-the-wall style telling of how an ordinary couple discover and come to terms with one of them having cancer. It is told in an intimate but not sentimental way, and is really quite touching. Owen McCafferty's script uses humour, sex, pathos, occasional anger, and a relationship with another couple in a similar (though more terminal) situation to help convey the deep senses of frustration, helplessness and hope as they go through the testing and treatment procedures. Liam Neeson plays his part well; though the script doesn't give him too much to work with. Lesley Manville is superb, though - really very convincing; she elicits sympathy by the bucketful. It doesn't pull it's punches so be prepared for a tough watch at times.
? WHOLE BLOG Juggling is a really good exercise for life. It has a lot of the fun parts of a soul sport (working to better yourself, non-competitive activity, etc. ) but isn¡Çt dangerous ? unless you¡Çre juggling fire or pancakes or something. That¡Çs why I want everyone to learn. I¡Çm offering juggling lessons in Los Angeles and an inexpensive (and most helpful) DVD because I want the world to juggle. I¡Çm sure juggling¡Çs not a cure-all like alcohol, but it does a great job with the following 8 thingies: brain growth body comfort stress relief focus retention coordination boosting being interesting improved learning unboring meditation #1 Save your Brain It used to be thought that your noggin starts falling apart when you become an adult. The thinking went that you¡Çd continue downhill until death or alien cocoons were found. Possibly sent from space, juggling can help prevent this deterioration and can even help you grow stuff in your old age. There are studies that say you can¡Ä Grow White Matter & Grow Gray Matter ¡Ä Weird, huh? #2 Got The Hunchies? The average person spends 312 hours per day at a computer. Your back and neck get outta whack, your wrists start hurting and your legs fall asleep. You can combat this crappy feeling by doing light exercise ? juggling is perfect. To hone the art of juggling, you need to think about standing up straight, relaxing, and using your hands correctly. #3 I can¡Çt de-stress you with my eyes It¡Çs nice to learn something new, do something active and get away from what seems important in your life. You can lose your tension through tons of hobbies, but juggling is a great combination of physical activity, brain stimulation, joy of success, and visual stimulation. Here¡Çs another scientific study¡Ä Effect of juggling therapy on anxiety disorders in female patients #4 Focus Sometimes it feels like A. D. makes you better at stuff, but when it comes down to it, we really need to be able to sit still and focus until something¡Çs done. Juggling builds your focus muscles through regular practice and a built-in rewards system. One of the top performing jugglers in the world, Reid Belstock, had his life transformed by juggling. Focus was a major benefit for him: ¡ÈJuggling is a fantastic way to develop one¡Çs focus. I spent 4 years in a special school based on children with learning disabilities, and motor-skill impairment. I was on meds for years to keep me from being less scattered in school. I found that once I was able to juggle, I was constantly spending time working on something. Once my goal was reached, I would try the next logical step up. When you are trying to reach a juggling goal, you either can do it or not. Once you learn the new technique, it is a tangible result, and this helped me focus for longer periods of time, and allowed me to focus on one single task until it was finished. ¡É #5 Coordination Juggling helps your eye/hand coordination¡Ä DUH! You don¡Çt just get juggly, you have better coordination for life. Think of all the situations where balls are flying at your face ( sports, Christmas tree accidents, etc. ). It would be handy to have handier hands. One baseball player I taught to juggle said that his batting improved in just 3 lessons and suggested me to several other players. Juggling has also helped people with typing and learning to play instruments as well as just being less clumsy. #6 Being Entertaining It¡Çs not cool to always be telling everyone you can juggle. I know from experience. It is cool to pop out an unexpected novelty once in a while. Juggling can prevent a nephew from crying, surprise a date or prove that you¡Çre not just a fascist dictator. The main reason I like juggling is because it not only can make people excited about me, but it can make them excited about themselves and their own potentials. #7 Learn how to Learn You probably know someone who brags being a master of 6 dance styles, or has belts in 4 martial arts. It¡Çs not as big a deal as it might seem. For example, once you learn how to learn one language, it¡Çs easy to learn more languages. Your brain gets good at figuring out what¡Çs important to remember and how to adapt. Juggling involves problem solving, posture, hand and arm movement as well as balance, so if you learn juggling, you can learn anything. That¡Çs my guarantee. Add that ¡Èlearning to learn¡É idea to the fact that aerobic activity can increase your learning ability (another study), and you¡Çre on your way to being a super learner. #8 Meditation We¡Çve all heard that meditation can help you be better at hugging and make your hair grow longer. Well kids, there¡Çs a new kinda meditation in town ? Active Meditation. tells us how to do active meditation and it¡Çs basically: do something active focus on the present be aware of your surroundings be aware of yourself stop before your boss walks in This stuff is built in to learning to juggle. People I teach often turn into little kids excited about a new skill and reconnected with their bodies. I am not a hippy, but I think that you should accept that you have arms and legs and that they can do more than keeping you from rolling down hills. How To Learn learn to juggle video on youtube ¡Ä or you want to give juggling as a gift, check out my Juggling DVD ? Catch U; and my Los Angeles?juggling lessons. I make my money from performing internationally at corporate parties and special events. I am going out of my way to teach juggling because I want to be nice a little bit. 4:10 after effect warp stabiliser lol. This is ICONIC, from the heels to literally everything. Hulu has released the official trailer for Normal People, a new drama series based on the bestselling novel by Sally Rooney. All 12 episodes of the series will premiere Wednesday, April 29th. The story follows the tender but fraught romance between Marianne and Connell, from their teenage school days in a small Irish town to their undergraduate years at Trinity College. Connell is well-liked and popular, but comes from a working-class family, while Marianne has grown up with wealth all her life, but remains a social outcast at school, known for her aloof temperament; her family employs Connell¡Çs mother to clean their house. ¡ÈWe hook up secretly, ¡É Marianne tells a friend in the trailer. ¡ÈLike some kind of game. ¡É The couple¡Çs relationship blooms in secret, away from the prying and judgmental eyes of their school peers in their hometown. But dynamics change when the two arrive at Trinity in Dublin and Marianne finds her footing within a new social circle, pairing up with a boyfriend who¡Çs ¡Èmore in line with her social class, ¡É to Connell¡Çs dismay. The series stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, as Marianne, and Paul Mescal, in his first television role, as Connell. Lenny Abrahamson ( Room, Frank) and Hettie McDonald directed the series.
Beautifully written I think most people can relate to this story performances are fabulous. Definitely 10/10. I was not prepared enough to fall so deep in love?. I spend more of my life reading than any other activity, but then, promptly, forget everything I¡Çve read. I¡Çm useless. So, of course, I¡Çm interested in new writers. Unfortunately, I also do a bit of writing. There¡Çs a biblical quote for every circumstance. ¡ÆFor where your treasure is, your heart will be also¡Ç. Sally Rooney is one of the new big things, Normal People was long-listed for The Man Booker Prize. I never claimed to be normal, but it¡Çs one of those twisted things smart young folk would say. I¡Çd six pints of Guinness and dived into Normal People and got to page 162. Marianne had accepted an offer to spend her third year of college in Sweden. She¡Çll be leaving in September and depending on their plans for Christmas, Connell might not see her again until June. People keep telling him he¡Çs going to miss her, but until now he¡Çs been looking forward to how long and intense their email correspondence will be while she¡Çs away. Now he looks into her cold interpretive eyes and thinks: Okay, I will miss her. He feels ambivalent about this, as if it¡Çs disloyal to him, because maybe he¡Çs enjoying how she looks or some physical aspect of her closeness. He¡Çs not sure what friends are allowed to enjoy about each other. I¡Çll simplify the story of Lady Chatterley¡Çs Lover (which I¡Çve never read) and use it as a template. Here we have Marianne, the rich kid, fucks Connell, the poor kid, whose mum works as a clearer for their family. This begins January 2011, when they¡Çre still at school and jumps forward every few months. Connell fucks Marianne. They¡Çre both fucked up in a different way, but both are brilliant scholars and go to Trinity College, Dublin. Role reversal. Connell, the poor but popular kid, is just poor and unpopular at Trinity. Marianne flourishes like a herpes virus and like one of those daft films where the ugly kid takes off her specs and everybody realises how beautiful she is¡ÄYeh, well, let¡Çs carve on a tree with a love heart around it: Connell lvs Marianne: Marianne lvs Connell. Now he wants to send her fucking emails. Must have been that outbreak of classic show and don¡Çt tell and cold interpretive eyes. These are not my kind of people. There¡Çs a story. What happens next? The secondary characters are scrawls on a page, an there's little difference between somewhere in Germany, Canada, Dublin or the bog streets of some little Irish town. The sense of place that is vital for me to care about the characters, well, who knows? Normal People? It¡Çs not that bad. I¡Çve tried it, didn¡Çt work. You might be more normal. Read on, or wait and watch the film version.

I had to resort to hybrid picking. I just can't get the hang of the way you hold ur you for a great lesson.
