I forgot to mention Hotel Rwanda I Spit on Your Grave (both versions) The Bandit Qeeen. Wow incredible, this film have scenes of pure and extreme cruelty. Godspeed and Come and See. I just found my new favorite channel. E7 82%8e628 3. Very few films have left me feeling the impact days after the viewing. This is definitely one of them. The opening scenes of the boys searching in the deserted sand bank were very intriguing as it turns out to the viewer that they were searching for buried rifles from previous war times. The shock factor of this film is extremely high. If you are not okay with brutal violence in cinema, this is definitely not a film for you. While watching "Come and See" I felt a strong looming necrotic feeling increase as the film progressed. Once Florya and Glasha escape the forest bombings and retreat to a formerly familiar place that was once Florya's home, my gut was wrenched. The sounds of the buzzing flies among utter silence queues the unwelcome presence of death, which we do not see until they leave and Glasha glances behind a barn to see the villagers now as a pile of gruesome corpses. The moment when she notices but does not tell Florya made my head spin at the thought of family ties being severed forever in such a brutal and unfair manner. The sheer realistic manner of the film is enough to engulf viewers into feeling for Florya and his people as their existence is nearly decimated by the unrelenting hand of Nazi Germany. Once the film wound to an end I found myself reflecting on all the horrific imagery and pain that Florya witnessed on his resilient path to surviving such a brutal inhumane event. I couldn't help but feel the hatred he felt and yet I understood why he wanted to join the ranks and fight the good fight once he realized that war is no game. I feel that the pride and resilience Russians carried on their back during the Nazi atrocities is strong enough to charge a fight for in any human witnessing this breathtaking twister of a film.
E7 82%8e628 price. Restrepo isn't realistic then. it's real. This closing scene really helps us to recognize all that we have in this world. “Lacrimosa” is from Mozarts Requiem is a wonderful closer. After all the gruesome horrors of war, full of static noise, the viewer is provided the exact opposite, a delicate, complex piece of music. It is overtly melancholy and depressing in its tonality, almost as if it is asking you to grieve and take in the events in the film which you have seen and which very much happened. Flyoras rage has built throughout the movie and he finally lets it out on Hitler, both literally and metaphorically, yet he cant bring himself to “kill” baby Hitler. His face is tense with anger but then he just stops and starts crying. This is an extremely powerful moment. What I took away from this is that we are not evil from birth, rather it is forced upon us by those who are older than us, continually perpetuating the generational cycle of evil. Flyora has found his place. His innocence is gone, never to return. He never shoots his rifle until this final sequence. He is at last a bona-fide fighter, just as he desired in his youthful ignorance at the start of the picture. The final words of the song are “Amen”, a fitting ending if there ever was one. No final money shot, no great coming-of-age realization, the movie just kind of. ends. We are able to sit on technology all day, never having to truly experience the horrors that our ancestors endured, even in very recent times. Be thankful, and remain vigilant, for if we become ignorant we become blind to the atrocities that occurred and welcome new ones without even knowing it.

I habitually use the IMDb to find treasures I might not have seen in my day-to-day movie watching, but am rarely as pleased as I was when I found this film. Come and See is the story of a young man who joins the Byelorussian partisans in their resistance to the invading fascist hordes during World War II. The title comes from the Book of Revelations, according to the director in an introductory interviewed contained in the two-disc DVD I saw. The film is based on a group of incidents observed by A. Adamovich during his youth. Director Klimov also grew up during the Patriotic War, but in the Stalingrad area. Filmed exclusively in Byelorussia, the movie has a wonderful feeling of versimilitude, due to the real locations, the naturalistic acting, the wonderful costumes (many of which are authentic WWII issue uniforms, apparently) and the overall somber tone. Special effects are minimal, most are "in camera." Most effective of all may be the scene in which the boy hero and his mentor steal a cow and are then shot at by the Germans. who are never seen until the final forty minutes or so of the film. Highly recommended, especially if your notion of the War on the Eastern Front is derived from "Hogan's Heroes" reruns. with the comedic threats of getting Sergeant Schultz sent to the Eastern Front as punishment. Even _Stalingrad_ was not as gritty and real as this film.
Let me first start out by stating that I consider myself an amateur historian of sorts when it comes to WWII or early/mid 20th century warfare in general, as I've spent ~20 years researching the subject so far. One thing I can tell you is that there is never a point when there isn't more to learn about WWII, or any subject for that matter. Anyways, rewatching this movie, small as this stream was, brought me back to a time when I was younger and first stumbled across this movie. At the time I was still on the come up learning about WWII, thinking I knew a lot about it at the time -probably not unlike how I'll assess my WWII knowledge of today in years to come lol. Well this movie opened my eyes as a teenager to a whole other part of the eastern front I had not researched yet. Today it's better, but when I was a kid, most programs/docs/books on the subject were heavily western front orientated stuff with the US marines and army Air Force involvement in the pacific coming in second. One had to dig to learn of the British, Dutch, and Australian naval action in the pacific and anything more than Stalingrad about the eastern front. Seeing Come and See as a teenager opened my eyes to even more that was either suppressed in the west or just suppressed in general and has made me preach whenever I can to any fellow American who I hear essentially thinking Pearl Harbor happened and then our grandpas sailed to Normandy the next day and were splitting up Berlin with other countries who barely did shit a week after that. Folks who aren't in the know generally are fascinated in my experience, whenever I have the chance to give a brief story of how the Soviet Union went from thinking they were safe with a non aggression pact to getting pushed to the brink of annihilation due to treachery and then pushing the invading army all the way back to their capital and destroying them. It's pretty epic and Come and See is what made me seek out all I could about the eastern front and the terrible and epic things that occurred there in WWII.

E7 82%8e628 pill. Big up for telling the reccomend to see this movie to all whos over 21 (hard to perception film. sorry me i got full of sterpiece. and yes... spielberg used a film to create saving private. What? Are you fucking stupid? Part of the reason so many people died is because of starvation and poor conditions, and considering how easy it was for the Nazis to transport millions of Jews over a period of half a decade, it's not that hard to see Stalin doing it either. Also, he didn't literally dump them in the frozen waste in 5 seconds, it took time, years and years to fill up the gulags and work camps, that's why it's terrifying, every day for years on end, more arrived and more died.
