Первый сезон кажется слишком детским и несерьёзным, местами даже скучноватым. Большая часть серий - это гонка за изумрудами хаоса да сражения с доктором Эггманом. Особого разнообразия наблюдать не приходится, хотя попадаются серии, выходящие за рамки этого описания. Весь первый сезон больше похож на игру, несерьёзную, забавную, но не вызывающую бурных эмоций. Я не ругаю его, но у меня он шёл туго. Второй сезон пересказывает сюжет игр 'Sonic Adventure' и 'Sonic Adventure 2'. Ругают его в основном за изменённость событий игр, но сезон всё равно смотрится хорошо, на порядок выше первого. Появляется разнообразие, а события становятся серьёзнее. Герои раскрываются под новым углом. Тейлз проявляет самостоятельность, понимая, что не может вечно следовать за Соником. Эми впервые анализирует свою любовь к Сонику, рассуждая о том, что ей, вероятно, никогда за ним не угнаться, но она будет пытаться. Криса приструняют за его инфантильность. Плюс, он раскрывается как одинокий ребёнок, который с самого детства оставлен родителями. Теперь и он вносит свою лепту в борьбу с врагами, хотя, если честно, в третьем сезоне он, как никогда, неуместен и смотрится местами лишним. Печально, что версия '4Kids' убила весь драматизм в конце. Трогательная и чистая любовь в зарубежных версиях (не японской) была убита на корню, а эмоциональное 'Я люблю тебя' заменено на плаксивое 'Ну ты же мой друг'... Все три сезона тяжело совмещаются друг с другом, так как они соверенно разные. Как будто создатели хотели угодить всем - сначала детям, поэтому сделали первый сезон чересчур наивным, затем фанатам игры, перенеся на экран сюжет двух 'Adventure', а потом вообще погнались за фантастическими приключениями. Хорошо это или плохо, каждый оценивает по-своему. Немало удовольствия приносят озвучка и музыкальное сопровождение. Американские, а за ними и русские дети очень многое потеряли из-за того, что '4Kids' заменил все треки на какие-то совершенно 'левые'. OST достаточно гармоничны и приятны, а местами сплетение музыки и разворачивающихся событий приносят эстетическое удовольствие. Из подобранных голосов не было таких, которые бы раздражали (опять же, я говорю про японскую озвучку), но особенно мне понравился Тикао Оцука, озвучивший Эггмана.
