The main character at 32 would like to get married as is accepted and encouraged in her community, so she seeks out help from the traditional resources. She gets her wish only to be left at the altar, so to speak. With feelings of anger and abandonment consuming her she reaches out in faith and sets a goal to find her groom by the original wedding day. This movie shows that journey which at times is ridiculous, sad, hopeful, surprising and funny. Through it all we learn of her support system, her suitors who also have dreams of marriage, love and acceptance. The director/writer Ms. Burshtein is also a woman of faith and her films reflect that aspect of her life. Her other film FILL THE VOID is excellent as well. This film is most definitely worth a rental and a fair shot as it is refreshing and apart from the norm.
