Exchange2000をインストールする。
構成はサーバ２台。Active Directory用とExchange2000用。

とりあえず、Exchange2000にはActive Directoryが必要。
で、Active DirectoryにはDNSサーバが必要。

Active Directoryを初めて導入する場合、Active DirectoryサーバにDNSサーバの役割も持たせるほうがいいらしい。

したがって、Active Directoryのインストール中にDNS云々も聞かれるので、言われるがままにインストールする。

Exchange2000の削除

まず、既存のメールボックスを映す必要がある。

Exchange2000をアンインストールする。
ただし、このExchange2000はドメインでインストールされた最初のExchangeサーバのため、アンインストールに関しては注意が必要。

と怒られた。下記の人と同じ。

Hey all. I'm kind of a n00b at Exchange, so my question may sound stupid.

Here's the scenario.

I installed Exchange 2003 Enterprise evaluation on a server awhile back.
After that, we purchased exchange and installed it on anotther server that
was faster. I moved the mailboxes over to the new server, no problem. but now
I want to remove the old evaluation exchange before it goes kaput.

How can I do this? When I try to uninstall it, it says there are three
reasons that I cannot uninstall the server.

"You cannot uninstall exchange server as there is at least one postmaster
account currently homed on this server. Please move this account to another
server before uninstall."

"This server is the Recipient Upddate Server for the domain "xxxxx". You
cannot uninstall this server until you select a different Recipient Update
Server for this domain."

An then it says that there are more mailboxes that need to be moved. I can
do that, I hope, without any help.

Sorry if it's a stupid question. Thanks in advance for the help.
