Twilight audiobook. Twilight eclipse. Twilight struggle. Twilight saga soundtrack. Honestly, I neither love nor hate this movie. Oh it's bad. But I think the two worst things about it is (1) the complete and utter defecation of previous vampire lore, and (2) nothing happens. In the first 30 minutes it revolves around a girl with no personality or facial expressions besides "blank" and it felt like I watching an episode of an ABC Family teen series. Some moments were so ridiculous that you either laughed in disbelief or just groaned.

If I am going to be perfectly honest with myself, the story is not as horrendous as the ones that follow as I do not despise the main character. If I ever met someone like Bella in my life as she was in this first installment of what will later be one of the most overrated film series I have ever seen, I would just scratch my head, shrug my shoulders, and get on with my life. And I will address what everyone else has: the vampires (or Meyerpires. Personally I have never understood the romantic appeal of night creatures who would constantly have the urge to rip over my veins to suck the blood out of my body, but this certainly has me scratching my head in disbelief. In her quest to try and make a dangerous mythological creature that is meant to be feared and despised into something that teenagers can go on dates with, Stephenie Meyer has turned these once (for lack of a better word) bad-ass creatures into what appears to be the lovechild of Enrique Inglesias' sweet romanticism and the sex appeal of a Chippendale's dancer (apologies to both. If you're going to use on the most legendary mythological creatures of all time as some teenager's boy toy, at least be aware that on some level he/she will be scary, and then make them scary! And while you're at it, give them a personality that in your self-indulgent fan-fiction I will actually root for them. All in all, to me this isn't the worst movie I've ever seen, it's just boring - boring characters, boring story, boring execution, just overall "meh" However, I only give the movie that much credit because it's next of kin is much, much worse.
