country Italy, USA director Luca Guadagnino James Ivory CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, the new film by Luca Guadagnino, is a sensual and transcendent tale of first love, based on the acclaimed novel by André Aciman. It's the summer of 1983 in the north of Italy, and Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet), a precocious 17-year-old young man, spends his days in his family's 17th-century villa transcribing and playing classical music, reading, and flirting with his friend Marzia (Esther Garrel). Elio enjoys a close relationship with his father (Michael Stuhlbarg), an eminent professor specializing in Greco-Roman culture, and his mother Annella (Amira Casar), a translator, who favor him with the fruits of high culture in a setting that overflows with natural delights. While Elio's sophistication and intellectual gifts suggest he is already a fully-fledged adult, there is much that yet remains innocent and unformed about him, particularly about matters of the heart. One day, Oliver (Armie Hammer), a 24-year-old American college graduate student working on his doctorate, arrives as the annual summer intern tasked with helping Elio's father. Amid the sun-drenched splendor of the setting, Elio and Oliver discover the heady beauty of awakening desire over the course of a summer that will alter their lives forever Tomatometers 8,2 of 10 Star

Call me by your name phone case. I disagree with the “it should have more obstacles” part because in most LGBT love movies you have some kind of cliché obstacle like unaccepting parents or one member of the couple getting beaten up by some radical homophobe group. Its so refreshing to finally see a film that doesnt portray any kind of violence or injustice towards LGBT couples and just treats them like it would with a hetero couple. Its beautiful to see Oliver and Elio explore their love without anything but time in their way. No hate, no violence, just love and the bittersweet consequences of the only obstacle every single human being shares: Time.
Look me in the face, hold my gaze and call me by your name. I think this is such an interesting breakdown for the film. Its really interesting because I had a COMPLETELY different POV than Chris. I think this film beautifully resonates with the LGBT community and has certain tricks that speak to us specifically, in ways that may not resonate with straight people. For example, Chris says that he felt like the film didnt really lend a lot of info/character development on Elio + Oliver. but as an LGBT viewer, I think the way the director arranged everything was perfect because we were allowed to feel like we were exactly in Elios shoes. In other words, Elio was a canvas for us LGBT folks who fell/wanted to fall in love with an Oliver. The ambiguity, the restraint, and the withdrawals. they (as Chris describes as a sort of “shortcoming” from the director) were the strongest parts for me. I think it was more of a silent nod to LGBT viewers. we resonated strongly with Elio and longed for Oliver, which is why the ending felt so extremely heartbreaking for us LGBT folks.
Why do i feel like im seeing troye sivan in him? especially this scene... I adore Timmy and Armie. (Phone) Call Me By yourname. Hold my gaze, and call me by your name -last sentence in the book. Love is communication. They finally talked their feeling. I love Armie's personality, it's very funny sometimes and almost like a musician, Timothee is the apple of everyone's eye. very attractive, and Armie's very handsome and manly. They've got it~ whatever IT is they got it (sounds like Arnie. I'm watching this again for like the 100th time, and only now noticing the beautiful irony of when Oliver says stay right here and elio replies rather sadly you know I'm not going anywhere and the camera pans so that we see a bus in the background - it's a subtle reminder of how little time they have left together; elio isnt going anywhere, but oliver will; Oliver will move on, but this will never leave Elio. It's what makes this scene so strangely emotional.
Phone call call me by your name. (Phone) Call Me By Your name search. This movie is about a retreat, but I can't deny the fact of some of the most heroic moments in WWII combat arenas, like the civilian boat owners going into harms way to ferry home their troops, the very few Spitfire pilots grossly outnumbered but fighting on to the end, and the one pilot that continued protecting his brothers on the ground, even when he no longer had fuel in the tank. Another amazing gesture was from Commander Branagh who stayed behind honoring the sacrifice of the Frech soldiers that wouldn't abandon or surrender their fighting positions until all the Britt's were safely away. Vive La France! Kind of brings back the speech by King Harry, how does it go. gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
This movie is a masterpiece. (Phone) Call Me By Your named. ?we spent all night together“ okaayy well i dont think they told us everything…maybe. or not. Who did the score? I haven't even seen the movie and I'm almost crying because of the music. 6:00 was so funny. 1. The Elio Elio Elio part always breaks my heart 2. It's so sad to see how happy he was when he heard Oliver's voice on the phone to how sad he was after he found out he was getting married. Why didnt you give me a sign... I love how the music just floats in and out of this scene. One of my favourites in this movie. Elio is such a sweet boy. He reminds me alot of myself when I was that age. If I was Oliver, I would take him in my arms and hug him forever.

My replay button broke This was such a sexy scene im shook. Those Kisses in the neck tho. Aw timmy avoiding the woody allen question the best he can. I feel him, its such a trouble. You wanna be in movies and breathrough, hes not responsible for woodys actions, and hes just has an amazing oppurtunity and took it. I see a lot of hate towards him about that. I dont think he should be held accountable for working on a woody allen movie, he is not at fault. P. (Phone) Call Me By Your names. (Phone) Call Me By Your name index. Because I wanted you to know. From him talking to Oliver, then to himself as they parted for a few seconds is just so beautiful.
Stalingrad(2013)Russia movie may be more stunning then Dunkirk. OME DID NO ONE SEE 11:20. OK I know there both straight but I mean come on there has to been some feelings for eachother after doing a movie like this. Like they had to spend so much time together on and off, especially since they were almost the only people who spoke english. And I know its not as romantic as shown because of all the people and cameras but this wasn't a set like others. I mean you don't just look at someone like that and u see he turns away super fast as realizing hes gazing at him! 1. Phone call scene call me by your name. It's probably one of my favorite scenes in the movie. The moment oliver told elio that he had fallen for him all along. This scene is beautiful.
Elio Elio Elio Elio. I remember it all.
