Have you seen it ? Nope and I'm not going to see it. If I want any Grudge stuff I'll watch the original Japanese versions =P. The Grudge remake presented here is one of simple structure and a tale of three stories. And it's a beautiful mix of bizarre and cheesiness. The cinematography is fleshed out in murky green coloring and darkened blood. The acting is nothing Oscar worthy but it serves it's purpose for the story. I liked this one! But I do wish the characters did more to believe the main.

The American remake was decent and the subsequent sequels were quite terrible. I was hoping this movie was going to be good, a decent cast and a promising director who helmed "The Eyes of My Mother, which was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, my time was wasted and by the time the film ended, all you could hear from the audience at my theater were groans. It's shocking that this film is as bad as it is, the film brings nothing new to the table and it's overall excessive use of jump scares really got to my nerves. The plot is inconsistent, the film is boring, and the characters are bland. I'm struggling to find anything redeeming about the film besides some decent performances, a very disappointing way to start off the new decade, that's for sure.
