Drøye 20 minutter er som sagt alt for kort tid til å gi en tilstrekkelig dom over Hvite gutter. Sesongpremieren spenner opp et lovende premiss, men innenfor vestkantens hvite stakittgjerder forsyner ikke serien seg av mer enn de lavthengende humorfruktene. Pilotepisoden er full av fengende popmusikk og fuktige festmontasjer, men er nesten fri for konflikter. Det blir fort kjedelig i lengden. Men ut fra trailere, og seriens tilstedeværelse på sosiale medier, ser det ut til at det kommer trefninger med både bekymrede foreldre, økonomiske problemer og oppgitt omgangskrets. Og det trengs hvis Hvite gutter skal bli noe mer enn bare lettbeint og lett glemt. Hvite gutter har premiere på Dplay den 7. januar. Den vil også komme på TVNorge til våren.
