But what if we re-check our current interpretation of the Biblical chronology and find there needs to be a correction? Edwin R. Thiele, in his book The Mysterious Numbers of the Hebrew Kings, established the date of the death of Solomon and the division of the kingdom as 931 BC. If we work our way back from here, this is what we get: 931 BC the death of Solomon and the division of the kingdom. 967 BC the construction of the temple began.
